Thanks for the review. Appreciate you going through all of these amplifiers in Amplitube 5. I have these two collections and have enjoyed trying out the various combinations. A nice set of components for the price ... considering the recent discounts available from IK Multimedia.
As always great video and really Love Amplitube. The bit I am starting to find is it doesn’t matter if your playing with the cheapest or the most expensive guitar the sound you get on these preset is always spot on and sounds amazing.
@@TSFAHTPS try a single coil then humbucker then maybe a p90 in the same position (eg bridge) of different guitars. I am finding they all sound the same.
@@nathanc6611 Gabor recently did a new video following this comment to show different pick ups in Amplitube and your 100% correct it is different. I have 2 guitars they are both Ibanez one with humbucker and one with single coil and I think the pick ups are a bit to similar so it’s seems this is specific just to me and my guitars. Long was of saying “yes I now agree”

Thank you for these videos man. At 39:57 I love that sound.. It is trippy but still heavy! Flangers are awesome! Isn't it awesome how when you get a really cool sound, the creative juices just flow out of your fingers?! Hahaha at around 42:50 your smile... Like a kid in a candy store!! Love it!
Hahaha.. I love when you're checking out a preset, and go "Eh!" but then discover "OH! There's no distortion!!". Up that puppy, and then WHAM! Hell yeah now it sounds awesome!

I was hoping this would be just a demo of all the Fender *amp* models, not factory presets with a bunch of effects. I think most of these modelling companies rely on added effects to impress the listener with a "produced sound". I'd rather know how the amp models themselves compare to the real amps they are trying to emulate.
untill may 20.... payday is may 25 😥 I just got an audient id4 btw, that thing is a champ at taking a *very* hot direct in from the poweramp of my amplifier. But I need to turn down the decay of my reverb otherwise the wash overloads the bush 🤣
I will try to do more videos with this....there are just so many amps that it would be a two hour long video if I would go through every amp in detail!! This was just meant as a "quick" run through - if there are any particular amps you would like for me to go through in more detail let me know and I will try my best to get it done
trying out the free amplitube stuff and wow the cpu usage is insane. The sound is quite nice though, could get almost similar to my ndsp cory wong tone with the default amp.

Yeah it is a bit annoying...I'm not sure about the standalone version but as a plugin it saves the output volume setting when you create a preset...so once you find a couple of sounds you like and you save your own presets you don't have to do it anymore
@@TSFAHTPS Yeah, same on both, and yeah, that's what I've done. Makes it hard to compare things quickly, though, when they all have the added bonus of some digital clipping :-D
But ah do you have to EQ your guitar DI before it hits Amplitube? The straight DI out of my Strat or Tele is very muddy through my interface. Surely you don't want all that mud hitting Amplitube right? Oh and my Strat and Tele are really harsh around 3khz DI into my interface.
Recently got both Fender 1&2 so much to explore just scraped the surface… Gabor any chance of in-depth Fender Bassman amps with strat and tele please? For anyone thinking about getting either Fender collection the silly price 25 euros is a no brainer, have spent hours on perhaps half a dozen amps l find it fun, creative and entertaining👍

I'm surprised in how fat and chunky you can get the tone with the Fender MetalHead amp.. I don't usually equate Fender with chuggy metal tones. Cool! :)
I would be interested to see if IK/fender collab on a pedal pack with their latest run of pedals. I have fender 1 that came with with max when I picked up their interface as a combo deal, and fender 2 - I couldn’t justify the price of their physical pedals (I’m pretty shit, so would probably just piss the pedals off) but love the sound of them

Yeah it is a bit overkill...I find myself being pretty quick with deciding which amps I like and which amps I don't like as much...and then I will only use the ones I like...but I totally get what you are saying....the whole AmpliTube and T-Racks world is HUGE...almost a bit too huge!!
Ok, let's talk simplicity... If I have a decent PC and use something like a Behringer USB mixer with say, powered speakers like Yamaha ,install a common DAW , then get amplitube V or Tonex modelers. Is there anything missing here? (have dozens of guitars so pickup variety no issue) Is the modeler used as a plugin in the DAW or as a standalone, and can the modeler be used as a standalone pc based preamp for a sound board?
@@BoBaker611 lol Bo...already have when the Black Friday deal popped. Its amazing...but waiting to mobile tech appontment to make sure pc is set up right. I have a killer soundroom , been working on it since about 2007. Its pretty much the crowning glory of it now.
I have no idea what I'm doing wrong, but the presets sound nothing like that on my end. 2 Blackface sounds like a toy guitar through a plinky transistor radio and I'm using an AXE I/O.
I’m not sure…maybe your speakers?!? All I’m doing is plugging directly into the AXE I/O Solo and then straight into Logic…no post production…no EQ nothing…the only thing I might do is adjust the volume a little so the different presets are kinda even but that’s it!!
@@TSFAHTPS Same here, AXE In and Out to Event 20/20p speakers with Amplitube in standalone mode. Tried adjusting gain knob and Z Tone settings on the AXE and it sounds nothing like the great tone you get out of the box. I'll contact IK, maybe they can tell me what I'm doing wrong. Hi Mike, I'm having the same trouble with all ampsims including Amplitube. It sounds like it's super compressed and adding some kind of distortion to everything. Out of interest, which laptop/computer are you using? I'm starting to wonder if it's a problem with the laptop itself (some components too close together causing interference or something) as I've tried more than one audio interface and have the same problem. If you do ever find a solution, please let me know as it's driving me mad. Thanks,
@@firthio2 I've used it on a 2016 iMac and the new M1 MBP 16" with similar results. I have to believe I'm doing something wrong, but I have no idea what it is. Another issue is that the output volume of many of the factory presets is so low as to be inaudible, even though the output meter is near the red. It also seems to me that presets I create and save can sound completely different from day to day, but I could be losing my mind. I do sometimes hear one tone when I select a preset, then a second or two later, a low "pop" sound and the tone changes in that preset with no input from me. Maybe my license key is haunted.
Still no M-80 model? Oh yea it wasn’t iconic..🤣 but my pro head with the 3 rack spaces was great for the times. My super twin reverb also not included and it’s a clean beast with 5 band ready to unleash 120 tube watts of window shattering sparkle, just remember to leave the distortion off.
I love all 7000kg of the super twin reverb but really who the F needs 495 watts peak music power ( stated on speaker output) from 2 12’s WTF Then you play through it and your like “oh I guess I do” 😀
I used to have an old 80s red knob Twin Reverb and I loved how it sounded when I was able to turn it up...but it was SO LOUD and SO HEAVY - and gigs were always upstairs...I got rid of it and ended up with a Princeton which was much lighter and much better to my eardrums
