@@shiina4861 Yoshi still has all of the tools that aMSa used to win, even if it's not him playing, Yoshi still has all of those tools, you just need a player dedicated enough to master those tools, and aMSa proved that.
I think it needs to be stated, in the US it is VERY rare for MANGO of all people to be rooted against by the crowd. They didn't hate him like some people do HBox but there was so much love and hype for aMSa the crowd was amazing 👏
Amsa definitely deserves that big win. It's very rare to see mid tier characters win a melee tourney, but holy hell what a fantastic grand finals match
Yoshi hasn't been a Mid Tier character for years. By the metrics the community uses to determine tier placement, Yoshi stopped having anything in common with Ganon, Luigi, Mario, etc for a while
@@Firan25 Bottom tier is Game and Watch and lower and 19th place. Yoshi hasn't been considered anywhere near bottom tier for a while now, being ranked 10th on the most recent official tier list. That tier list did include wobbling so a lot of people think Yoshi may be above Ice Climbers and maybe Pikachu, with some small number of people thinking he might even be above Peach.
@@simanolastname2399 I guess aMSa is one of the reason Yoshi is even considerd not to be bottom Tier anymore. I could be wrong tho He is also the only Yoshi to be in the top 100. Anyways I am actualy not that of a melee fan, so I guess you knew that anyways.

@@jambothejoyful2966 yes that's what LMIP meant too, except it's not "almost" but actually "entirely". His was THE ONLY Yoshi in top 100, meaning that no other Yoshi players has come close to achieving the results he has and therefore means that it was literally him alone pushing Yoshi up the tiers, which is wild when you think about it.

nah tbh I only recorded this cause im not a huge melee fan but I knew how cool it was. I was way too busy going nuts for riddles to think about recording it. also I was front row so it wouldn't really have been a crowd pov
Ppl def are cheering for Amsa, but I think really in our hearts we're cheering for Yoshi. Who would've ever thought --besides Amsa-- that Yoshi would ever be able to do this.
no they were cheering for amsa because hes really cool AND he plays yoshi if amsa was a prick nobody would've cheered for him but he's a rly good sport and a wholesome dude and thats why everyone loved him enough even in the us to cheer for him over mango
As someone who has been to a metal concert, and can literally taste what I smell (bloodhound nose) -- no. It was great. People cleaned the hell up, had many come in costume. No odor. lol.@@002f4dsw4
