4 Bolts right there were he was spray. Remove the 4 bolts, take the throttle body off, and clean it with throttle body cleaner, and a soft toothbrush. The throttle body will then be clean, no junk inside the intake causing a lot of smoke, and it will idle properly again when done.
Might need an idle reset after disconnecting the throttle body on Trailblazer/Envoy. After 2007 there's some extra stuff they put in that made it even more complicated (so I read). Also read there's a DIY way to perform an idle reset using a pedal/ignition combo and doing a bit of highway driving.
I find it hard to believe he has cases of this stuff and he doesn't know the difference between a throttle position sensor and the throttle body. Then later he claims to not know the price of a can of the stuff. If he bought cases, you would think he knows how much the stuff goes for.
Yea, it's like what, 4 or 5 bolts and 5 minutes maybe? This guy is just crazy. Take off the throttle body and skip the pricey foam. $2.99 carb cleaner, half a can.
JayzBeerz.... Actually by doing what he did and with what he used may very well have helped remove some carbon buildup in the intake, valves and or cylinders. I also think that Amsoil have a much grasp on the technology than you or I!
I keep getting the evap solenoid failure or stuck open code, I've replaced it three times. Every time I replace it, it works for a few months then does what you're talking about. If the AC is off it's fine. Solid idle, if I turn the AC on it dips and rises, dips and rises, espically coming to a stop sign or light... It's embarrassing especially in the car line at school haha. Will have to try this
I got a 2002 chevrolet blazer xtreme (49k miles) just. Cleaneded the maf sensor as it threw a p0101 (accompanied by p0172 &p0175 banks 1 & 2 rich) cleaned the maf and now it idles at 600 rpm fine but if i kick the ac on it falls on its face and almost stalls. It runs fine without the ac on and doesnt restrict itself it did sit for a while before i bought it. So im just assuming i need to clean the system run some seafoam or amsoil through it.

So that's how they do special effects smoke screens and fog in the movies. For someone whom claims to do this often, I watched intently and I could not see where you actually sprayed sufficiently into the very forward part of the throttle body. However, even with that (appearance) to lack of attention and application, I likely would have begun as you did. Spray and Soak for 10 minutes, Re-spray and and use a nice tooth brush to work around both the throttle body and plate. Spray again and let sit for 5 or so minutes and then start the vehicle and burn off!

I have an 06 Chevy trailblazer that shimmies when I come to a stop but only with the ac on. Will this possibly help stop that? Could the O2 sensor be bad?
This video was just advertising power foam guys never clean the throttle body like this guy did all that crap getting sucked into the engine. Do it right take the throttle body off and clean it right or just spray in with brake clean and wipe it up with a towel
Clean your MAF, MAP; Remove TB and clean on bench. IF it's the TPS, a new TB will be needed. Abt. $140 @ Amazon. I've been thru all this. 2008 Envoy SLE.
I have noticed everyone comments about taking the throttle body off! Heck! I am in this situation because AAA spryed cleaner though the plastic cover and called it good! It was running perfectly and smoothly before having them "fuel system" fluid change! After, I had to take it back! The manager offered nothing! And left the assistant manager holding the bag to deal with an irate customer! So if this shop is getting away with it, by just spraying it into the throttle body while attached. Are other shops really taking it off?
Depends on the service. If you had a fuel system cleaning they won’t remove anything and hook it to an evap line in the intake. If you have an actual throttle body cleaning it usually gets pulled off and cleaned on a work bench.
you really should take the throttle body off of the car to do this! all qf that shit you are cleaning off is going into your cylinders and valves sensors!!!
He makes a statement that all they did was spray a "little bit" of foam.... Actually no, it was a whole can! And the proper thing to do would have been to remove the throttle body and clean it rather than letting all this crap get run through the engine... That's not the way to do this job. Additionally he Throws around numbers of how much the can cost and then And then says he doesn't know What it costs.... But yet in the beginning of the video says he has cases of the stuff, And yet he doesn't know how much it costs,...???
Wait he has "cases" of this cleaner but doesn't know how to clean it properly? F this guy for releasing a highly excessive amount of chemicals into the environment.
