other suggestion on the Throttle Body...spend an extra 2min, take the (4) 10mm bolts off the throttle body to completely remove it. use the foam stuff or clean it with $2.99 can of TB cleaner. FULLY cleaned. for those who didn't know you could. much more accurate.
If you take it off you have to relearn the throttle position it's a pain in the ass. This guy is a clown though I am surprised he didn't bend a connecting rod
@@Cs39601 if you say so. I wouldn't do it though just my opinion although I would have a helper turn the power on and step on the throttle. If you push the plate open by force you can throw it out of sync or break it as well
This recently worked perfectly for 2004 trailblazer. Runs like a top. I do recommend a oil change immediately after this cleaning process. God job, THANKS👍🏻
Directions Protect painted surfaces and mass airflow sensors (MAF) from spray. Ensure application is in a well-ventilated area. Run engine to normal operating temperature and remove air cleaner assembly. While engine is running, spray foam directly into throttle body as fast as possible without stalling engine. Shut off engine and allow to sit for 10-15 minutes. Replace air cleaner. Restart engine. Repeat application of Power Foam as needed.
Why do you keep spraying it all over the outside? It says very specifically in the instructions to protect painted surfaces, so spraying it all over everywhere probably isn't a great idea. It also says spray "into" the throttle body, so if nothing else you're just wasting some of it.
@The Tunerdude Im curious to know how the treatment on the cars that you did, worked out. How is NY Eddy' Trailblazer doing today? I have an 04 Envoy also but a V8 and was thinking about doing this same thing.
That is an awesome job I wish I could learn how to do mechanic that way I could do my own vehicle but I have to take my ride to a mechanic to do all kinds of stuff on my right and I was going to ask I know it doesn't have nothing to do with the the intake throttle I have a (code P0606 )on my 2004 Chevy Trailblazer 4. 3 engine..
I love AMSOIL products too. GM Induction System Cleaner is stronger, but use in small amounts at a time. Gasoline is a big deal. Use only "Top Tier" gasoline. www.toptiergas.com/
This is a how to NOT clean your throttle body. 1, don't do it with the vehicle running, 2 take the throttle body off so you get both sides, and 3 why the hell would you shoot that stuff all over the outside of the throttle body? Must've been the beer....
The foam is the old RSA Foam Carb Cleaner. It won't hurt ... it certainly cannot hydro lock an engine.... but you two gorillas ("Hold my beer .... and watch THIS!") shouldn't be under the hood of anything. RSA was a very good product... I'll bet Amsoil reproduced it faithfully.... I even wondered if someone would pick up the product again.... thanks Amsoil! Certainly, though.... sloppily spraying foam on the outside is good too... right? Nope! Big waste for ZERO purpose.... nothing is gained. "There ain't no sensors in there.... "...... there IS a sensor between where you're spraying the foam and the filter and it WILL set a code if all the air doesn't go through it...... I'm amazed Amsoil let their name be associated with you two buffoons. Tsk. Tsk.. Tsk! Amazed ! You guys probably need help getting dressed in the morning too ..... right?
Yes, you sure can. You can visit Facebook.com/bestmotorlube for my contact info, I can help answer any other questions you might have or get you set up with AMSOIL products if you'd like. Thanks - Nathan
If you do a tiny bit it wont really do much. I believe this has 6 cylinders, a tiny bit wont get all that gum and scum out the cylinders and spark plugs and injectors. ALOT will get it through everything to give it a good clean
Back in the day that’s what they used to do on carbureted engines especially. engines that only drove short distances like the old lady who only drives to church and the store they were notorious for carbon buildup
@@Ezekiel-OffRoad that steam cleaned the top of the pistons....A friend used to dribble trans fluid into the carb at 2000 rpm....you should have seen what came out the back,,,pretty sure water works the same in a carb
Why did you spray the whole bottle your crazy i wouldn't want you to work on my 🚚 that much is not good hes flooding it. its fuel injection you do not need that much oh my god your a goof troop
Wow! how not to do this. Spend 5 mins take the throttle body off and clean it. All the crap in the throttle body is now in your engine. There's a reason al that crap is coming out of your exhaust, and it's not a good one.
DO NOT CLEAN YOUR THROTTLE BODY LIKE THIS!!! If you can get to the throttle body then you are more than capable of fully removing it. Disconnect the negative battery cable first then remove the throttle body and the small screws that hold in the circular plate inside. Use carb/throttle body cleaner and a rag. Put back together and reconnect the battery cable after 30 minutes. They are lucky they didnt blow a head gasket, you can hear the engine seizing in the video from all the crap they blew pretty much directly into it. I feel bad for the owner of that envoy and anyone who thought this process was ok smh 😞
Wow that looks like much more work than simply pulling it (1 harness, fuel line, and 4 bolts) and you can do a much better job of the "back" side that way. Oh an no mess all over the engine bay. I'm sure the product is solid (amsoil, nuf said), but the use in this case, laughable.
You made his head gaskets go out.hes to drunk yo notice if it work it wouldnt smoke in 80 degree weather that shit dont supose to smoke like that in 80 degree weather
Smoke at start up isn’t from burning coolant is it possible he blew the head gasket from Hydro locking the engine DEFINITELY! assuming he’s a rep he should know better then to spray that much fluid in the engine when it’s not running and then try to start it. there’s a reason seafoam stopped using their original product that’s not in an aerosol can to run through your intake they came out with an aerosol spray can because people would put too much through a vacuum hose and Hydro lock the engine possibly bending a Rod or blowing and head gasket.
