A nice look into the box, Shawn. A interesting model with which I wish you successful steps to bring it in the end to a outstanding model. Best wishes and a nice weekend. Joachim
It's the same base kit as the rescue van they just put back out, and the police version. So they do have molds, just wonder if they have lost all the camper molds? Thanks for posting it!
@ David Parsley's Custom Scale Emer... Very possible they did as I think all the camper top/interior parts were separate mold/tool. Yet this had to be a EXPENSIVE kit when released, and looks like a headache build to. Probably was beyond most builders skill set in the day, as I've only found either unbuilt or partially built kits when they do rarely surface. The great thing was all the early releases had the window/panel option up thru the Drag Van(?) version, as well as opening hood. Bodies were extremely susceptible to warp though, which had to be the reason AMT changed the body tool. I've seen built up ambulances with the full window treatment, very cool.
Well, i never expected so many goodies inside a shot box! I would definitely be building the custom van version! This is a cool looking kit, nice unboxing like every time Shawn! Thanks for sharing, take care and keep up the good work brother.
That's a great looking kit Sean. I'm diggin the idea that you're going to build it, that's what they're here for. LOL!!! That would make a great tow pig for a vintage race car. Take care and happy modeling. Don 😎
Super cool kit. I like the idea of building it. They all were intended to be built...right? Cool stuff Shawn. Can't wait to see the build up and the final. Keep On Buildin' On Paul
Brilliant kit shuan, that has some fantastic details especially the camper part, and styrene seems a good thickness, thanks for sharing this one . All the best Martin 👍
What a cool van kit. Great video 👍👍 Round2 might bring this kit back. They brought back the foxy box van kit back and others, but who really knows what they will bring back 🤷♂️
These were a SERIOUS kit, absolutely LOADED with parts! Though I have never seen one built. This version was either the first or second issue released(iirc the 2nd by the kit # on the box); believe the original police version was first. While super detailed, it does look like a super finicky fit of cabinets to body at roof. CHECK the camper top for warp, mine has it. Top has no provision for alignment to make it a lift off deal. Easy to see why AMT changed the tool to the fully closed body version after a few short years.
Very cool Van brother, no matter which way you build it I know it's gonna be awesome. I am looking forward to seeing which way you go with it and if you do the trailer with the car or a trailer just hold on other stuff but I know I will see it one day when you're done.
Kool vintage Chevy RV model kit it almost close to Chevy Rescue Van model kit from few years ago also by AMT I'm still debating about getting Rescue Van model kit I like urs with the window option pretty neat .
I would put a square cutout from another box top to save that box l have two of tbem vans l had to save box like that to keep it together great kit lots of stuff😄😄😄
@Edward Cox I really don't know? I have three of the hearse kits, but no extra parts for them. If I find some I'll get back with you, but I know I probably don't?
man that would look great as a 4x4 i wish these model companies would make some older vans and pickup 4x4 they did make some i wish they would come back out with them what do you think shawn can you tell me what you think or what the best model you like to see thank you
