Thanks for this awesome presentation. Now I have my M1 and I must admit that it's bloody awesome, for a modeler it is much more real and organic than anything I've tried so far. I must add that I've been a Marshall user since 1993 and the M1 feels to be quite real. Kudos for AMT!
The cab sim sounds so much better than into a power amp. With a tube screamer in front of the pedal at low gain, I dare say this thing gets pretty close to my AFD100.
Awesome review as always, no-one does them better. I would value your opinion of the relative merits of the M1 and the tech21 British for direct recording. thanks again, you are the man!
Sounds VERY convincing! good thing I didnt stop at the other YT demos of the many other pedals out there. This one sounds DEAD FUCKING ON! Can even hear the warmth too". Awsome man! simply awesome!
Great job with this video, I love your reviews I have just a question because I'm kind of lost, how should connect it ? In the effect loop an then I plug my guitar in the input of my amplifier or in the return and I plug my guitar in the input of the pedal and nothing in the input of my amplifier ? Thank you.
Excellent! Now I'm looking for Marshall sound in M1 and Dirty Little Secret. My friend said M1 is hard for use. It make bad sound if we jack into front of amp. In my country many times we don't found amp it's has return input in live show. My knowledge right or wrong? How about your opinion? Please forgive me in bad English.
how would you compare the AMT Amp Legend pedals compared to the Tech 21 Character Series? Right now I'm a big fan of the Character Series thanks to you haha.
Burgerman666 Eu consigo tocar um som pesado tipo metallica com esse pedal, usando algum outro overdrive como booster? Burgerman666 I can play a heavy sound with this pedal type metallica, using some other overdrive as a booster? I bought it and got a DOD YJM 308! Thanks man you're a great musician COmprei ele e tenho um DOD 308 YJM!
Hi, i,m using an Orange TH30 and a 2x12 and i would like to try and get it to produce some Marshall tones. Do you think this pedal would work well for the tones i'm after and can this be used on the dirty and the clean channel. When you say it's pre amp does the guitar plug into it and then into the input ot the front of the amp or does it go in the effects loop from the back, thanks,,,Paul.
None really. It is a preamp peadal, no big watts going on there, only good tone. You should use a bare power amp with it, something that doesn't colour the tone further (as it is already coloured to a specific Marshall-ey character in this preamp pedal). Think of units like Rocktron Velocity series, Engl E series - or Electro-Harmonix 44Magnum for a super portalbe solution. If you already have an amp head you can connect this little box directly into the power amp section, skipping the preamp of your head via FX RETURN jack as it goes directly there.
