It always gets me why does the Cardinal only get one engine while just about all the other long haul trains have two. I love the Cardinal - especially in a cozy roomette!
@@ferryguy2 I have compared some videos of the Cardinal to the Crescent, Piedmont and other similar routes. Those other trains do tend to be longer. Cardinal averages two coach, one sleeper and one sleeper / baggage car. In comparison, the Crescent has 3 to 5 Coach cars, 3 to 5 sleepers and a baggage car. So, the one engine does make sense after all.
