One of my friends lives in this area. When I was still living with my parents I could hear the train from the Staples Mill Rd station all the way to my neighborhood (near Parham Rd.). The 😭horns split my ears😭 but I like the 🔔bells on the crossing arm. 🔔
Nice catches!!! Loved the horn on the Amtrak and the CSX GEVO looked nice and crisp. Also it seems like some fools have trouble looking both ways here considering how fast the cross the tracks, you can tell they don't give a damn about slowing down looking both ways, most cars did slow down which is good. Another thing, it looks like the signals have a new gate and the lights have been changed to WCH LEDs the flash is on point, pretty soon the other lights will be changed, I also find it odd how they took very long for the gates to rise after the train passed that is a good feature though.
I guess this is proof that even though the Ex Conrail engines have cab signals, leading is a last resort on cab signalled trains since I have never seen it happen except on my very first train, Q191
