Great stuff, Pat. Cool to see a mix of power on the DAYGO. Too bad a lot of San Diego has quiet zones now. I have to say though, seems like Coaster has really let the horns on their cab cars go without maintenance. 2309 sounds like it has a tram horn. LOL! Take care buddy!
Thanks a lot Travis! I think the main reason why the Coaster horns haven't been sounding as great as they used to is because the crews tend to quill them instead of blowing them all the way. If you look at some Coaster footage from 2009 - 2011 when the horns go from being quilled to full blast there's a significant change in sound. Although lack of maintenance could also be playing a factor because cab cars and engines that had amazing horns during that time now have average sounding horns today.
