I want to live. Not just survive. 200 years of wanting to to truly live again, 200 years of atrocity, 200 years of grief. 200 years without what made life worth living, 200 years without love, 200 years of regret. 200 years of obsession, 200 years of heartbreak, 200 years of desperate madness. 200 years Nox survived all of this, but it’s safe to say he truly died with his family on that day. He couldn’t go on surviving without hope of living anymore. How could one not at least pity the poor man?
Well he never accepted the loss as the cube promises time travel thus he justified his actions as in the end they’ll never actually happen thus why he is so distant and cold as it didn’t matter to him as he was going to fix time but it’s very tragic when he breaks down after the cube only takes him back a few minutes but it’s implied that during the fight the cube took him back to when he wanted to go but was blinded by his goal to take all for himself.
Good antagonists are 1 of the good reasons Wakfu is so loved and a masterpiece to me. It's not always perfect but damn it's a super good show to watch and rewatch as a kid as well as an adult. If you can, watch it with your kids. It's full of lessons that you can talk about with them after.
@@somerandomdudeyesarandomdu2301 Qilby and Oropo are good vilains, and I could easily argue that Qilby could maybe be even better than Nox in his story (even thought Nox is sadder in his way) Oropo is also a really good villain, but no one seems tounderstand who is really Oropo, he's not as good as the two first one, but still better than many villains
@@phantom9831 Oropo was an allright villain, but i hate that they made him the one who gave the Eliacube to Nox. It feels like it cheapened both Nox and Qilby by having him be some kind of puppet master behind them.
I think that it was part of the charm Nox was pretty much an underdog until he beat Grugarolagan. And even then with him having to outsmart his enemies he still kept that feeling.
@@jankieek8218 Well they made him extremly overpowered but not without limit. With the Wakfu he gathers he literally has a In-Univers Manabar that he is limited by. Thats what keeps him and his struggle believable.
@@romanbeskhlebnov7620 Ah the common misconception that only Japanese Animation Series are called Anime while the Japanese literally call anything animated Anime - no matter were it comes from.
as a french i dont know if the english voices are good, but goddamn if you dont like the english dub at least watch it in french subtitled, its one of the only anime i liked, and im not really an anime or manga fan,but this one hits different
@@malicharton4403 I'm British and speak so little french I basically don't speak french. I watched it in french with English subtitles back in the day. Was a Glorious Show, and the french VA did a good enough job that French comprehension not required.
When you know what you’re doing it doesn’t matter what you use because you’re so good whatever you use to make art it’s gonna be a masterpiece no matter what
No he represents the people that wish they could change the past he was told he could with enough power it was never specified to him how much it would truly cost in the end he regretted his choices that he believed he could fix
@@melitaganuelas8844 No the endings throughout were sad at times, but I was talking about the ending to the whole series with the whole tower, and all of the gods children. So season 3, I think that was the season been a few years since I last saw it. But I do think it had potential for a little more than what they gave.
Well, Nox (the guy in the mask) still managed to kill him. Got injured, acquired almost nothing, lost a lot of energy, but still killed the dragon. Truly impressive for a mere mortal whose determination rivals the gods. (Too bad he died... By the way he died not because he failed. No. He died because he succeeded but that not gave him that he want and he gave up. And stopped the life-prolonging spell. 300 years are long lifespan for man, even mage)
@@TaliZenAvi did you know that according to the extended universe he sould have succeed but eliatrops came from the future in a dimentional rift caused by Nox's spell and caused it to fail, but I'm not exactly sure about that, the extended universe of Wakfu is VERY complicated
well the serie can be watched without watching anything else even if the universe extend to video games and various books that could help you understand the story even better and notice easter eggs buuut it's pretty complicated, but there are movies between every seasons (one on Nox and one on Ogrest (I think) at the end of the first season that are not important to understand the serie, more like a backstory to the main vilain. And then 3 OVAs after season 2 that you have to watch to understand season 3)
Kind of an ironic amv if you think about it. song is about wanting to live and live freely while the animation is about trying to take someone else's life.
It's fucking worth, I've watch this when I was younger and again a couple of months ago and it's still great. I really love the story and I've strongly become attached to the characters
idk how good the english dub is (so maybe try french with sub?), it's a french cartoon and there's a lot of referrences to french culture but even without understanding them you can enjoy this show, tbh it's one of my favorite animes (even if the s3 is pretty bad compared to the 2 first ones), the animation is top-tier and the story even better, even if there is a lot of "fillers"
