I absolutely LOVE Amy Diamond! Had a funny dream yesturday that we were neighbours and she lived just around the corner from me & my parents! Have loved and been a fan of hers ever since the beginning of her singing career. Saw her as an idol and female role model and inspiration for many a years. Am now 27, almost 28 and still listen to her songs till this day! Will introduce all of her songs for my future family! :)
I was born in 2003 and grew up listening to her music; I was a huge fan of hers. Fun fact, I actually lived in the same neighborhood as her (a rather small town in Småland; I still live there, but she has since moved) and I remember being extremely proud of that fact.
I am a big Amy Diamond fan from Austria! Yesterday afternoon I checked the swedish charts and found out, that Charlotte with "Hero" is at Number 1 and Amy with "Thank You" at Number 55. So it was unrealistic that she could win. The swedish people select "Hero" in the evening. Anyway: I was shocked. Amy took it so good ... no tears ... only a smile to her fans with a "Thank You" for their votes.
Sitting at the lake of Constance and be in the Amy Diamond fever with my whole family for Amy Diamond with this song. It was years ago, but I continue to loving it! Great song - great performance! Today I saw the same song performed by Amy Diamond 2013: that is even better!
omg i cant belive how many quality songs had sweden this year in this year's preselection...why in romania cant be songs like this for example? :\ great song from amy diamond!
@zitubia I'm not wrong, she was 15 at this performance. But she did turn 16 just before the final (Eurovision song contest) so she was allowed to compete.
@TheSheffeilds 1992?! i'm born in 93, and i remember "what's in it for me" and i was like... 8,9 or something, and i just can't imagine that she's older than me. i guess i was thinking that she was stuck in time or something, and still looked like that little girl from her first hit, hahaha.
Amy Diamond changes her voice so that it matches with the song, as someone (she?) likes it. The same was done by Agnetha from ABBA very easy to listen at "Hasta Manana", "So long", "I am the Tiger". From my point of view she selected a too sweet voice (for this text). Maybe the voice from her song "Speed of Light" would be the "right" on. Björn and Benny experimented a lot with different voices, tempi, sounds etc.
She sounds like she was sick here, look up more of her live videos, she is amazing. Don't go getting all 'she sucks' from 1 video! Singers do mess up and sometimes sound bad when they are sick. so yeah. bye. Signed Linda... Go Amy!
