This was the first version I ever heard and I remember thinking, "THIS is Amy?" But I really liked it. Then when I heard the album cut much later I was like, this is it? I like the mix better!
I had the exact same experience with this song! The Boston top 40 stations initially played only this version, which I loved and couldn’t believe Amy Grant had updated her sound to this extent. To this day I consider this the definitive version of the song.
Spectro Man get her Greatest Hits 1986 -2004 it will have this version on it I believe it’s on Disc 1 and it’s a bonus track actually then u also get Lucky 🍀 One remix as well then disc 2 That’s What Love Is For Extended version I got it from Amazon actually
The memories with this song, underage in the club, drinking, dancing, making out with a beautiful girl you just met on the dance floor... best times ever!!
I COULD CONVERT IT TO MP3 AND SEND IT TO AN EMAIL ADDRESS FOR YOU BUT IF YOU REALLY WANT A CD I PROBABLY COULD DO IT ,BUT I WOULD HAVE TO FIND A BLANK CD
I actually like the 7" remix for this better as it has a more straight forward intro and does not ramble on like this one. The original album version as well as the extended album-sounding version are still the better versions but I did hear this one first.
It's actually a British group Soul 2 Soul sample "Keep on Movin". Amy Grant's song came out a year before Jon Secada's. They both sampled the same song.
Awful mix and rip off of, Keep on Movin. Sucks out the joyful pop from the original. Thankfully my radio station played the original and the original was also used in the video played on MTV.
Actually the song that was "ripped off" was "Back to Life (However Do You Want Me)". Peeps were cashing in on this as well as "The Power". Dave Morales used similar guitar riffs is his dub mix for "Livin' in the Light" by Caron Wheeler.
