I love that the writers acknowledged that they had two characters here who never interacted and decided to give them the most wholesome connection on the show. Their friendship is everything.
If I was show writer, I would think of "Young Amy" prequel. Imagine: jewish nerd (botanic, geek) girl Amy, growing in California, and another jewish nerd Howy, their lines go separate but parallel ways, time after time (in each episode) they occasionly meet each other = their lines crosses, but they don't communicate, just shown in one shot (picture) for ten seconds ...

Normally in a clip you see someone's reaction to something and you couple that to a different situation where the reaction can be related.... Not only did OP copy... It's not even funny but just a repeat of what we saw in the clip itself...
I loved how Amy and Howard were the only team that had fun, and in fact ditched the scavenger hunt for a karaoke bar. Leonard annoyed Bernadette, who in turn made Leonard miserable. Penny was getting annoyed by Sheldon's idiosyncrasies.

This is one of the things I like so much about shows with ensemble casts. You can pair up two random characters and the audience will just think it's weird. But then they watch it and it's pure magic.
Right? Like Brian and Stewie. Seth said he never would've put them together and it would've been Brian and Peter but then they paired them together in the episode where Mort stumbles into Stewie's time machine and since it was a random pairing that worked they made them best friends.
Howard has the most interesting character arc in the series, he really became a better person, and Amy accomplished to live the life she always wanted to, being socially accepted.
Mayim on his RU-vid account stated that having a scene with Simon in TBBT is her favorite episode. She even added that Simon in real life is a very nice person.
Mayim and Simon look like they were having so much fun shooting this! I'll bet their rehearsals were a blast!! It would be so awesome if they could get Neil Diamond on the show sometime!
I love the chemistry between Amy & Howard. And I think Howard' s character is the best when he's with Amy. He's not flirtious, not childish, just a normal nice guy.

Amy is actually the best in the group...she made Sheldon into a man and also helped him to win the Nobel, she made Penny realise best friendship is real, at one point even Bernadette ditched Penny and Sheldon to hang out with just her , both Leonard and Howard actually had most fun hanging out with her individually...I LOVE HER.
I think because it has always been her goal. In an episode, she shared to Penny that she made a promise to herself if the day comes she'll have real friends, she will do everything for them even if she has to sacrifice the things that she wants. Good thing, she found real friends, because if not, she will probably be taken advantage.
So sad they haven't explored this fun, unexpected bond more. Could create some nice tension for Sheldon if his girlfriend is close friends with Wolowitz. Ah well.
Sometimes, great comedy is about a clever play on words or poignant satire. Other times, it's just about taking a couple of good actors doing something everybody does and cranking the goofiness up to eleven. Love this clip.
This has to be my favorite part of that episode. Those two totally stole the show! I adore Howard and Amy's burgeoning friendship, I really hope the writers keep it going. :-)
I'm so happy they like his songs. When Amy answered "No, I like Neil Diamond" to Howard's "I like Neil Diamond", I wanted to scream "No! I'm the one who likes Neil Diamond!"
This was one of my favorite Big Bang Theory scenes. I love the one where they are working late and dancing to Neil Diamond. I think out of all the characters on the Big Bang Theory Howard and Amy have evolved into two well liked people. They are my favorites! I hate to see it end!
This episode was absolutely 💯 the best ever. I laughed my unladylike ass off 🤣 😂 My husband laughed at me laughing at this show he had tears rolling down his face. We had our own little tear fest and no matter how many times I see it I still laugh my unladylike ass off 🤣 😂 😭 l🤣
Whenever they're together they're always having fun. I remember one episode when they worked together and they were singing Calendar Girl. Raj and Sheldon was very jealous of Amy's and Howard's closeness

(Still counts) and Penny and Sheldon were singing when Howard, Raj and Leonard came in, and they were singing this song, while working, together, to make them work hard. (Don't remember the episodes sorry, I will try and find them out).

I love how the other two groups were really in the game and howard and amy just didnt care anymore after they found out that they had something in common. Would have been fun if they went deeper in their friendship.
I know this is an old video I'm commenting on... In 2015 Neil Diamond played a concert at the football ground in my hometown. I couldn't get tickets but the ground is really close to my house so I opened my bedroom window and could listen to the concert.
There should be more of this going on. I beat the writers are just afraid the awesomeness of this duo would overshadow everyone else. It's a conspiracy.
I think there's no need to keep it from their partners. Look at Sheldon and Penny. They still sometimes hang out just the two of them. But it was never an issue for Leonard and Amy.

I would totally ship Amy and Howard since Howard is becoming so sweet and Amy deserves some one like that.
It's refreshing to have a male/female friendship that really sparks but doesn't result in them spontaneously sleeping together. That trope is beyond tired.
I just love this! Years ago, my hubby and I used to take our sailboat out to sail with some friends as they took out their huge speedboat. Often, we would take other friends with. One night, as we were all taking a break cooking out on a sandbar, someone put in a Neil Diamond CD and we all ended up in a spontaneous sing and dance along. One of the best nights ever. Random friends with random friends, it was something you couldn't plan and I am certain wouldn't have happened if we tried to plan it. Amy and Howard having this connection made me think of that. So perfect.
