she makes me feel that I have someone who understands me, her sound was so heartfelt, such a talent that was taken to way early. Imagine what she would have given us if she was still alive. Her voice drips with emotion and her song writing is pure brilliance. Miss her everyday.

The abandonment Amy felt by her father and Blake really fucked with her head. It was like a visceral wound that would not heal. Singing the same deep songs about her pain was as if she was constantly ripping off the bandaid night after night. Her 'manager' father making her rip off the bandaid was yet another trauma. I honestly believe she didn't want Blake as much as she couldn't stand having been discarded. Being rejected is terribly painful for women who were first 'discarded' by their fathers. I suffered BPD in my late teens/early adulthood and know abandonment can cause you to process relationships much differently than if you had a healthy self esteem. Just my arm chair analysis and two cents. She was incredibly talented and vulnerable at the same time. I think that's what made everything she touched turn to gold. Her death was a tragic loss; even today it still stings.
Sure her surroundings had a great influence on her death unfortunately. But I don't think it does make sense to say what some say that "Blake and her father killed her". Yes, they weren't good to her but Amy herself kind of always had this self destructive personality. I believe there were good people near here, that tried to help, guide her to a good way. Everyone has got their particular problems, however, you can choose to move on or give up. I don't know, it's just a feeling I have about this situation. It does make me sad because it seems to me that Amy reached to a point in which she was trapped, like she didn't want to live anymore. I always think about this sentence Amy wrote in "Help yourself". "I can't help you if you don't help yourself"

Me too, suddenly just out of the blue began craving Amy at the start of the year, not really listened to her before as such, being a just gone 20 male, coming from a fairly rough background, didn't give much attention to the feminine side.
