Here's a question... That awful, awful instrumental piece... When the show first aired, did it have a song that they couldn't license for DVD? I just wonder because it's SOOOOO BAD... It's perhaps the worst original score piece Ive ever heard

Improv can be a mixed bag but sometimes you have to sit back and look at what another person sees. Outside suggestions can be great but only if you as a writer recognize and accept your limitations.

It was absolutely the better line. It captures the essence of the character, and is the likely the driving factor of the conscious objector movement.

I survived. No power for a week and three large Pecan trees came down on the house. I've been cutting all week and have slowly removed them. Got plenty of firewood and a much better area of sky to shoot my Astrophotography. Could have been worse. It was scary with 80 mph winds but me and Duke the Boarder Collie survived!

Yes and no. British Canadians. The territory was still called Canada at that time and most of the militia was composed of colonists. Most of the official British military was already to busy fighting in the Napoleonic Wars.

Well, a quick search seems to suggest that around ten years ago an actor would get paid something like $5000 to $10000 for an hours episode. Oddly, from what I read in my brief Google, small roles in movies pay less per hour than TV (about $1000 per day on set). It's because an actor may go years without a 'proper' paying gig so they get paid a pretty decent whack on those rare occasions they do work.

One doesn't have to be PRO Vietnam to be against Draft Dodgers. Being against the war is about the politics of the war and if ANYONE should be fighting in it. Being against Draft Dodging, on the other hand, can be about perceiving it as selfishness and not wanting to be the one fighting but not about those who are. A "not me" attitude that doesn't address those who are dying and risking. For some it is better to show up and refuse to train, sit down and not pick up a weapon and risk jail or die for their principles instead of a no show, no sacrifice "my life comes first" and let others take their place. Especially when one has a family member who risked their life, one can feel that less bodies made the war last longer or made the target bigger on their family. If a family member died, one can believe that if there were more soldiers/sailors/airman/marines that their life could have been saved.

@@hoshireed77 I believe there is more nuance than that might give credit for, because there was an incredible amount of bravery, stupidity, intelligence, and cowardice, along with many other things when it comes to both group’s decisions, as all people are complex. I feel bad for people who have lost loved ones in war, but adding another person to a troop in the equation wouldn’t have likely improved situations. Their were people there that were so incredibly pacifist that they never shot a bullet at a single enemy (and that goes for all wars) in Vietnam specifically it’s estimated that 50,000 bullets were fired for every one enemy killed. @@AudibleFist awesome link. I was just pointing out that being against dodge drafters is not the equivalent to being PRO Vietnam. Your comment gave the impression that disagreeing with dodging the draft = pro Vietnam. I was just providing it isn't a simple either or. It isn't just a simple if/than.

Not saying it's right/wrong, but I think he's more against draft dodgers rather than pro-Vietnam war.
