An Actual FAKE Comic Book Collector? 

Dominic, thanks for sharing your collection on your channel. Sticky gooses channel is all about satire, he criticizes everyone. If you're launching a channel strictly for comics on youtube, then you're not going to get an audience overnight like you would with other subjects such as finance, cars, how to create content on YT etc.(just google it) Example; my comic channel has only 13 subscribers (lol) and very boring content compared to Sticky goose, but my other channel (non comic related) has way more. However, everything you said in your comment above is a terrible way to manage constructive criticism and is a direct reflection of what sticky goose is trying to say in his video. With that said, --Seeing what you've displayed in your collection, congrats.. you should watch sticky gooses video on his collection before throwing out pointless numbers to inflate your ego and avarice. If your collection is 200k then his is probably 10M using the same value method. But, I think If you're going to go out there and bash sticky gooses subscribers as a numerical value, you've under minded and insulted his viewers as well choosing quantity over quality (not to mention your own) and if you're going out there giving financial advice then you should know the value of human beings. Human beings and the dynamic of understanding human beings to be successful is not an algorithm. The most successful real people in the world have the best understanding of social etiquette. Your lack of humility is a weakness not a strength and your social skills are appalling, *A recommendation for you; take some of the money you've made and instead of investing it in comics, go invest it in therapy for Narcissism and low self esteem. I was just about to comment this. Why would anybody have _that_ book in _that_ condition signed and then graded when there are literally hundreds of thousands of copies of that book in far better condition?

@@johnnydropkicks why would anybody want that book at all? Ask yourself that and then ask yourself why you think your copy is actually better, when there are so many in circulation. He may have just graduated from that first phase of collecting, and admits it , …there are levels. Good luck, kids.

@@preemptivepmp My answer to your first question is: I don’t know why anybody would want that book. Second, I don’t own a copy of this book, but I have sold several copies in the past that were all in better condition. The book has a gigantic print run. Why somebody would choose to pay for a signature on a copy in this condition, and then pay for it to be graded is beyond me - especially when you consider that you could purchase a better copy for $10. Sure, maybe he’s new to the hobby - but why then make a video bragging about your "$200,000" collection when you don’t know what you’re talking about? That’s the part that gets me. Good luck, kid.

@@AngryStraightWhiteMale If that were the case, to me, it’s all the more reason to keep your personal copy raw and get one in better condition to have signed and graded. Also, it doesn’t seem like this would be his own personal copy or hold any personal significance to him since he just recently got into this hobby and (pretty much) only for investment reasons. It appears to me that he doesn’t seem to have a clue what he’s doing. Maybe I’m wrong. Your opinion may be different. But… he really comes off like a crypto-bro or an NFT guy.

Naaah. Sticky can be an asshole for sure, and I don’t agree with videos like this making fun of other people. It’s scummy. But on the other hand, fuck this dude. I don’t doubt he enjoys these characters, but for him, this is clearly an investment and solely for profitable gains. Which is fine, to each their own. I understand that this is quite the money making hobby if done right, but I’ll never view you as a true fan or collector if that’s the case, and you’ve completely sucked out the joy of this hobby. So no, I don’t view him as a beginner collector or anything like that.

I'm curious to know what everyone's definition of "Gatekeeping" is? To me there is a difference between stifling someone, say a new collector, based on the way they are collecting and poking fun at someone who is full of shit. The latter is what is happening here. Not a comic creator by any means, just told my team to film any of my hobbies and interests so I did it off the top of my head and no prep.
