Side note: I personally use 106 in conjunction with 939 or 049 to apply pressure and minimize escape options with flanks or pincer attacks to counter his weakness, which mind you, he has the slowest walk speed of all scps so chasing is nigh impossible, thus why he’s so much of a bullet sponge to compensate

As a game developer I must say, the ball resistance IS intentional, and completely seperate from bullets. EDIT: This is unclear. I did NOT develop this game, I develop other games, but know how they are made and such.

The reason scp 106 is resistant to the ball is because it's a "physical" attack while grenades are "fire" and tesla is electric. he is immune to physical but not "energy" attacks. A good example is fallout 4 he has good ballistic defense by garbage energy defense. Hope that makes sense.

On the topic of damage resistance, TF2 (team fortress 2) has this concept of "effective health" basically you have your health bar (say 200 hp) and what your health effectively is against a certain damage type (lets say 400 against bullets). There are videos on RU-vid that can explain it much better than I can but basically 106 has a high effective health against bullets

106 is so much better on Dr. Brights server. On that server you can “stalk” people and teleport to a random player every minute or so, and items and bodies don’t drop in the pocket dimension so no matter how many people die in the pocket dimension you still have to correctly guess the path.

His strength is also when the nuke has gone off, when he teleports the player to his pocked dimension, they die instantly.

*With the new 106, if the server owner chooses that the way you escape throught isn't the same for everyone else then it doesn't affect thst much that you send more people to the shadow wealm

Technically you can verify if you killed a person. If the person you hit has less than 40 hp, they drop all of their items, just that they don't have their dead character (aka ragdoll) showing because it is in the dimension. Another way is if the people count goes down, however, there is a chance that a random character died conveniently at the same time.

This video was really well done. Nice job. My personal gripe with 106 (on unmodded servers anyways) is the fact that he actively gets worse as the game goes on. Because of the body thing you mentioned, 106 can essentially catch about 8 people, and then him going around and attacking people actually puts him at a *detriment.* If/when you escape, you're right outside of 106's containment. If you have one of the aforementioned cards and a buddy, there's basically nothing stopping you from recontaining 106 then and there. IMO it's just bad game design to have one of an SCP's primary draws actively make it worse as the game goes on, or even right after your first kill. Let's say you go into entrance and you capture a guard who knows what they're doing. That guard marks the exit they're going down with something generally pretty useless, like their disarmer or their WMT. With luck, that guard escapes. Now every person 106 captures (that's paying attention anyways) is pretty much guaranteed to escape from the pocket dimension. This is actually a major reason I primarily play on modded servers, like Dr. Bright's Facility and Unlimited SCP. IIRC Unlimited SCP deletes bodies in the pocket dimension, which is good, but I think Dr. Bright's step further is even better. When you escape from the pocket dimension in Dr. Bright's, you don't go to 106's containment. You get dropped in a random spot in Heavy, which I think is a significant change that drastically improves the way gameplay as 106 works. The fact that you aren't actively making yourself worse just by playing the game is just so nice. I feel like it's also worth mentioning that after the Nuke, 106 becomes a little better, but is also at a greater risk of dying. The pocket dimension is gone and he just one-shots, like every other scp. However, if there's a spawnwave, 106's Swan Song (bullet resistance) is essentially useless anyways. 10 MTF shooting at you all at once still does a huge amount of damage, and you're bound to die.

One thing you forget is when nuke explodes and 106 survived the BOTTON and the can’t confirm just goes away making him have 1.5 of a weakness.

just going to say this but the Secret lab server I play on, Nut inc., 106 has the ability to teleport to a random player anywhere on the map. on that server, it could be one of his strengths

Here's what I like to do with 106's portals: At the beginning of the round, I place my portal in 106's room. My reason behind this is that D-class and scientists probably already have the right card to re-contain you by the time you get to light, which means they could potentially re-contain you if they escape your pocket dimension. So when you grab someone and you know they have an O5, engineer, or facility manager, you stop whatever you're doing and teleport back to see if they've escaped. Around mid-game, once you're done with all of the people in light containment, I like to place my portal where I can surprise people. Examples of this are: inside the MicroHID room, inside the Intercom room, behind a closed door, the nuke room in surface, any armory, inside of elevators, etc. That way you can catch people off guard. You can even use your portal during a chase. An example of this: Imagine you're chasing guards through entrance and you place your portal while running towards them. That way, if they manage to juke/escape you, and they run back to heavy, you can teleport back and surprise them out of nowhere. Around late-game, I like to place my portal at the entrance checkpoint or inside the Gate B elevator. This is for when MTF spawns, or when the nuke goes off. If you have your portal inside the Gate B elevator, and you hear MTF spawning, you can teleport to catch the MTF inside the elevator. and that's about it. I hope I helped in some way or another.

Random thing that happened: I was 106 and apparently the plant room and bathroom in light containment was “ colliding“ (meaning the lobby got bugged out). So I saw some people just standing near the wall and realmed one, and got stuck in the wall. What makes this even funnier is that when I got stuck, I could see into the bathroom. And a scientist and D-class came into the bathroom, and just sat there until en admin had to TP me out

I think 106 has 100% bullet resistance, meaning his bullet health is like 6500 health. Making him the highest technical health of any scp. Ofc he dies instantly to micro or nades. The reason the bullet damage seems inconsistent is because the damage is a decimal rather than a whole number. Mechasolaris' video (specifically the gun section) explains this

Mate, you forgot something. If the player is low on health (30 health or less) then 106 can kill him instantly. However, if the player is at least more than 30 health (not sure what the health needs to be) the player will live and have a chance to escape.

Unlimited scp is extremely laggy by the way but it’s very fun Edit: I love the way you can swap in to ANY human class as a human and 049-2 like as a MTF if chaos spawns you can turn into chaos

i would to mention some modded servers make 106 even more broken they give him a ability called stalk which allows him to randomly teleport to a random player

Yesterday, I was playing a round and SCP 106 was the last SCP left, an entire squad of chaos lit him up on the road, using all their ammo in the process. SCP 106 SURVIVED

It was fun acting in this.

Hey Simarded, so 106 has 10x resistence to bullets. So if a bullet did 10 damage, 106 would only take 1 damage. Oh yeah, also make a guide for SCP-096, also known as the depressed guy with no friends.

As 106 I had like 3 or 4 or 2 tesla gate shocks to almost killed me but that was because I was barley touched by them but you can still live form tesla as 106

i think the femour should be like this: you need to press the button when someone is inside, only then the door will close and 106 is contained, the rest is fine.

As a camper remover, 106 is almost better at being reserved in terms of killing people. If someone is trapped in a room by another SCP watching their door, have someone let 106 know, and have the panicked people in the room rush to 'escape' into the waiting maws of whoever trapped them in there in the first place rather than risking a free escaped. Almost fits with his habits for torture by providing people a quick false choice of "Here's your chance to escape, but you chose death instead. How sad. Suicide is the cowards way out." kind of irony.
