I’m just a beginner but I got this aluminum portable tripod, and I was impressed. I brought in a massive camera and tested every tripod in best buy and this one won. So I use it a lot now
The ad-80 also has a few other differences as well. a The $150 price difference is the carbon fiber, the head, the pan handle, the hand pads, and the feet
Darn, I honestly went to buy this "affordable" tripod until I saw the $150 price tag. I suppose it is affordable compared to what it's carrying but definitely not as an impulse buy
Within the context of the industry. No matter what the price is, it won’t be affordable for someone. But tripods like this usually cost thousands, this one only cost a few hundred which is FAR more affordable and at a level where majority of people in this industry can obtain
This is a heavy duty professional video tripod, it’s not something most people need. Tripods like this usually cost thousands of dollars, so $400 is extremely affordable for those in the market for it
Seems to be a lot of markup in the tripod realm. I am seeing different companies sell one for $150, then another seller selling the same tripod for $300
There are usually differences, $150 is very cheap for a video tripod so the head on it is probably low quality. But you can probably get the same tripod legs with a better head on it for more $$$. There’s a cheaper version of this tripod for $160 that looks very similar but doesn’t have any of the features I went over in this video
@@erwinmarionneaux yup I saw that one you speak of. 👍👍. Thanks. I'm just a broke boy with no money trying to get something decent. I was just filming in another state and left my tripod somewhere
You might as well just get the whole Satchtler lol. If you’re doing something that needs an aktiv 6 head, you should be able to just get the whole thing
Affordable is always relative. A $20,000 car is considered very affordable (even though $20,000 is still $20,000 lol) This tripod is 5-6 times cheaper than what these types of tripods typically sell for and is in a price range where most people who do the type of work to need it, can afford it
I’m gonna go with cajun but he’s speaking for the audience because no one understands cajuns. Could be creole maybe. You can see he has those French spellings in the channel name.
The only reason I didn’t is that prices change. Like when it was announced it was $399 but it’s currently on sale. So depending on when someone watches this video, I could be giving the wrong price.
