Love the build, I love compact airflow builds and this definitely fit that category. Lian Li cases are awesome and the amount of configuration they give you is incredible. Also thumbs up for the bluesy rock while showing off the build, I enjoyed that.

I just purchased this case and I'm looking forward to building in it. I like how it can use a regular ATX power supply, and that it's possible to have fans blowing directly onto the GPU. I plan to use a different layout for fans, but I'll be testing out different configurations to see which works best for me. Fun stuff with so many options! Thumbs up.

Early today I was at microcenter looking at upgrading my old case and after talking to an employee he recommended this cases over the nzxt flow I was looking at. Love the size of the case, wire management, and that you can fit many drives, but skeptical on how air cooling is. Afer watching your review and hearing your thoughts, I will be purchasing this case. Thank you. By the way, that noctua cooler reaction was extreme 🤦🏻🤣

Really like this build, love the blacked out almost no RGB theme. I was curious on the fans, I'm going to guess that the 4 120mm fans were on the top and back while the 4 140mm fans were bottom and front, I ask because your build list has 5 of the 120mm fans listed. Also are the front and bottom fans set up as intake with the top and rear fans as exhaust or in a different config to maximize cooling?

Great video! I recently built with a 12700K in one of these with a 280mm (front mounted) AIO. This makes me wish I had gone with a D15. Seems this case really shines with an air-cooled build.

I just got this case in black for my Crosshair VIII Dark hero, 5950X and 3090 Strix. Although, I already have NH-D15, but for this case I also went with NH-D15 Chromax. I cannot emphasize how well this case is built, Its great quality, I love the small cube size , yet, fits ATX M/B and ATX PSU. I have no complaints, I am very happy, but if I could change one thing, that would be the front and side panels ventilation. This case would be rated 10/10 if Lian Li kept the perforation of all panels from Lian Li Mini, much larger vents and just ad filters and let people choose whether to use them or not and because of it I gave this case 9/10 which is darn very good.

Gotta love that Lian Li doesn't mention anywhere in their documentation that if you use a ATX mobo and want to mount a top mounted radiator you will have to purchase a radiator offset mounting bracket kit. I ordered this case Monday and it gets delivered tomorrow, I found out earlier today that if I don't have those rad mounting brackets, then i can't mount my rad, luckily NewEgg offers next day delivery and I was able to order the bracket kit and have it when the case gets delivered tomorrow.

Wow. This is a very high-quality video from a starting RU-vidr. I believe you can rest assure that your channel will grow exponentially if you keep up this level of quality. Considering that you have built "hundreds of builds" with this case, I'd be keen to learn which build you have found to be optimal. Particularly in terms of fan placement, AIO vs fan-cooling, etc. Thanks a lot for this informative video.

So glad there's plenty of good case options for smaller builds nowadays, and I think the Airflow o11 Mini might just be the best I've seen so far. Also, can I just say that the overlay graphics showing the dimension and sizes of components and parts over the case relative to each other is great and so useful, especially for visual learners

Great video as always Robey. I am considering buying this case but I have a concern with the first gpu you tried to install and then opted for a second card. I am using an Asus Strix full atx motherboard and a MSI 4080. Will I have any issues with these components, since this is dated before its time. I am choosing this case because of a height restriction of 16.50 inches. Or can you recommend another case to consider. I need three 3.5" internal bays and preferably 1-2 5.25 external bays. Thanx

Just ordered this case and a thermalright dual fan cooler to pair with an I5-11600kf and 3080 10g. I think you went 2x140 fans in front and bottom and 3x120 at top and one in the back. Would you concider this the best case layout or would you change anything? Also what about the side panel - you mentioned you might remove it for better airflow. Loved the video, covered most of what I wanted to know before the case gets here and earned a Subscribe for the details! Thanks.

I was looking for this review few weeks ago. I got this case for my micro ATX am5 build. The build is msi b650m mortar wifi, am5 7700x, Corsair ax1200i(you read that right... Had this in storage after only a few months of use), msi k240, gskill fx5 6000 cl36 32gb ddr5, xfx black Merc 6750xt, team group z440 1TB, Crucial mx500 2TB. Fans are what's included in the case in case anyone is wondering. We'll be adding another case fan on top alongside the aio setup if it fits.

Thanks for doing up this build on this case. I have been looking for a case and debating over this one. I like the original just not a fan of all the glass it had. My only question was for this case would my Air Cooler I want to use work, which is the Noctual NH-U12A. Going to build the computer with most of the components I want like except without the FANS I will use what they have with the case for now and then include them later. Just going to build the base build, which also does not include a GPU, which I will have in later. I am moving away from a Laptop as I have been using a Laptop for the last 10-plus years, but found I really do not have a need for a Laptop now. It never leaves my desk. I use a Samsung Tablet instead. What this will allow me to do is have an upgrade path in the future. Know with the Z690 Board I will be able to at least upgrade to GEN 13 if I choose to. So any other build I just would not have that option. THanks again for this video.

The on top fan closest to the front ones is actually hurting the airflow just put 1 rear and 2max at the top as exhaust to allow optimal airflow

Haven’t done a computer build in a while, but did one last week using this exact case. I actually love it, and am doing a 240mm AIO water cooled with an AMD 5900x. I get 40* C at idle though .. is that okay?

Can confirm the EVGA Supernova G6 1000w is a good fit for this case. You've got a lot of room for cable management if you don't need the drive cage. If you're planning to use the drive cage, you're gonna have to get creative with your cables, or go custom length. I definitely wouldn't recommend extensions in this case if you are using the drive cage.

As big as the Noctua Air Cooler is, I believe the IceGiant ProSiphon Elite Air Cooler is larger (240mm, Push-Pull) which will be cooling a Ryzen 9 in my new Build.

question, if my 3090 is super long is it better to have the bottom one outtake, since the bottom fans will be intake? and then the top front fan be intake towards the cpu?

I am considering this case or the Lian Li lancool II MESH C atx. It seem like the latter would be better for more storage space since I want to have that as my to home backups and file shares. Any thoughts since you more than I have actually worked on these cases? I am not doing any custom loops. Oh I have CSU: 5950x with 80gb ram, GPU: ASUS TUF RTX 3070 TI, motherboard: ASUS B550 TUF Gaming plus and 850w psu, CPU Cooler: Fuma2. This currently in a budget case because I had to skimp somewhere.

I mean for storage it definitely seems like the Lancool II. I mean you do have options in the o11 Air but because of the wiring and just limits of the size I would give yourself the extra room.

I wish the bottom fans had more space, the XL got 30mm space, the normal 25mm, and this one 20mm. It's a size that shouldn't be changed. I can't add Phantek T30 to the bottom, and if Noctua also goes for 30mm it won't be supported. The feet are also too short, chocking it of air from bottom intakes, something that can be fixed by the user by just putting it on studs, but there should be at least alternative feet to add manually.

Would this case fit an ATX motherboard with 3x120 fans on top, 1x120 fan on the back, 2x140 fans on the bottom and front with an AIO 240 on the side panel?? I’m worried about all that fitting with an ATX motherboard.

Yes, it will fit as long as your motherboard doesn’t have very tall heatsinks on the VRM area, which might interfere with the 120mm fans at the top or the rear corner. In fact, even an EATX board fits although it’s a bit cramped at that point

I will be building in the o11 air mini using my b550 itx motherboard paired with a 280mm aio, my question is : would the thermals be better with the radiator mounted on the front or top? Running it with a Rtx 3090 rog Strix and 5900x if that helps, thanks for the video

I wonder if you'd have better CPU temps if you removed the two front most top fans. I have a feeling they are just sucking out the airflow from your front fans and competing with them. No exhaust in those spots would let the front intake reach the CPU cooler better and then you can have the rear and top rear exhaust fans to remove hot air from the D15.

I still don't get why the GPU temps are like this! Even with small clearence underneath the case, those fans and that big card should probably be enough for the GPU to get good temps. Is the only way to improve the GPU temperature use water cooling? Because I've seen people saying in reddit that putting the case higher didn't change much.

to really know the impact of the case would have to know the temps that card ran on an open air test bench. Could just be a hot running card or need a thermal pad replacement kit like almost every 30 series card. Or could run a 6900 xt card in there and see if it ran cooler.

@@donaldexley1852 For sure there could be many reasons, as the ones you pointed, but the card, especifically, might not be exactally the reason since the case still gets bad GPU temperatures in standardized tests like in Gamer Nexus. But I did find a Linus video called "Everything You Know Is Wrong - Mesh vs Non-Mesh Front Panel" that shows a case getting bad GPU temperatures because the fan is blowing air directly at the card (looks like the air mini fan position). This is probably the case in this O11. Using the lower side fan (that is positioned a little lower than the front fan) seems to help the temperatures a little.

I feel like this build would perform best with a 280mm AIO top CPU cooler and a 240mm AIO GPU model… …air cooling and bulky sizes aren’t helping this case’s potential.

Quick note: the glass goes in then slides in the holes too slide down and in place. Look the the locking holes to see what I'm talking about.
