An incident on public transit Friday morning leads to questions around safety on public transit. @BrianneFoley7 speaks with Sean Ewers about his experience.
Winnipeg needs to address the lack of affordable housing, wage gaps, mental health and addictions in this city! Its alarming the amount of people taking up residence in bus shelters and in parks near polo park. Its not localized to downtown anymore!
What makes the CEO of JamRock Security qualified to speak on this issue? JamRock sells home security systems, has nothing to do with transit security. Is it anyone that supports City"News" chosen narrative?
There are lots of incidents with disruptive homeless people getting on the bus for free and then harassing the customers. Bus drivers will not do anything to help unless they are the ones being harassed.
What country is this? This is nothing compare to MTA ...here people get shot on the bus and train.Bus drivers get beaten ,sometimes they set fire on some of the train 🚗...
The guy sprawled out on 3 seats might tell you something about the source of this issue... Security is not going to solve the problem. Poverty is directly correlated with crime and drug use. We must, the people, seize the means of production, to create an equitable economy where nobody is excluded from the labour force. This person would not have attacked if he had a job. But capitalist profits depend on people being unemployed, because the freedom to cut costs by laying people off is required for the short term profits of capitalism. In Cuba, for example, the streets are safe. Not here in supposedly rich Canada! Therefore, we must overthrow capitalism to have safe streets.
Socialism has failed every single time it's been tried but this time around it'll be different right? Why do Cubans risk their lives fleeing to the US in home built rafts if it's so great in Cuba?
@@TheRealCartman1 Lies. Socialism has succeeded in many instances, it just depends what you consider a success. If your vision of success is the ability to exploit people whose only asset that can be sold is their labour, and the ability to profit immensely from the desperation of the working class, e.g. for healthcare, housing, then yes I would agree. Socialism has indeed been extremely unsuccessful.
@@TheRealCartman1 we are right now a "socialist for the rich" society, they don't say it out loud but its going on everywhere, one can see it in the tax breaks and loop holes that the corporations and the uber rich exploit. One can see it in the governments refusal to close down these tax loopholes, bring regulations into the housing market, one can see it in the amount of lobbyists that are in parliament hill chirping in the ears of the politicians , both conservatives and liberals, and much much more. The governments ignorance to actually make systemic change. We supposedly Iive in a democracy but in actuality we're already in a socialist state, a socialist state where there is a redistribution of wealth and rampant income inequality grownth going on. Pls do some actual research first and then talk.
This is terrible. Our Laws should changed. Get it more strict.meant.Get Tough against Criminals..Disappointing.THIAS IS CANADA??? people lets get cautious. Report all unusual acts by mentally ill people. Take care
