I have several sets of circular knitting needles with cables that would work great. Isn't something how it takes time for the light bulb to go on in our head to make something easier.😅 Thank you so much for sharing this. I'll definitely be using this technique.
Well thank you very much for this! I have always wondered how those needles would be used and now I know. Just finished making all my tubes for the "soft and precious" baby blanket and getting ready to put it together. Will use this method on my next one.😀
Another option at that point would be to kitchener graft it shut. Then you wouldn't have to worry about it being so tight. Tons of tutorials on RU-vid if someone wants to try. Just another option 😊
Loved that you showed this tip. I thought that was possible, and to use to add ribbing to have a more controlled size by using smaller gauge needles. I am new for this and thought the "usual" way to do ribbing on the machine was a waste of time and fiddley.
I don’t think ribbing on the machine is a waste of time. Lol It’s just another method. Using needles is fine as well. But your right, this method makes it possible to continue with needles.
Great idea thanks for the video. I hadn't thought of this..... My Sentro did not come with a circular needle but I have some from when I used to knit. I was going to give away these needles and glad I didn't since I can still use them now.
Neat idea! I never thought to use them for this technique, but it obviously works. I may have to try to see how much of a struggle it is. Thanks so much for sharing this!
I often remove my stitches with a circular needles…then proceed to knit either the top decreases of a hat…or the bottom ribbing of a hat. This is for a single layer knitted hat of course. Very yarn efficient when making hats for donation. Plus it looks more hand knitted rather than cinched at the top. Just another idea…..
@@koalaknitsandknacksaddicrochet i already use the circular needle to finish my scarf whitch was to short. But next time I made a project, I will use circular needle to undo my work. I hope my english is « readable »
I have seen it done and it does look nice. In this video I am just showing that you can use the circular needle to take your work off rather than using waste yarn.
Wow, that's a great idea, but I own a couple. Of sentro and mines never came with Meeting needles but I do lit so I have knitting needles but this is a great video
Lmao yes when you said this tutorial is brought to you today by the addi 22 needle and the sentro circular knitting needles. I thought of the beginning of Sesame Street
Wouldn’t just a stand of waste yarn on a needle (not knitting rounds of it) to pick up the stitches do the same thing? You still have the beginning and end separated, but it would be easier to pick up the stitches to crochet together. 🤔
