First of all, the community has decided to view the Alola region as not nostalgic, which I agree with, so the title.
I still remember that the Alola region was somehow disappointing for me and my friends when we watched the trailers etc. and the games were finally released. It was the first game of the series, where the whole internet ranted so much, that my younger self just straight up copied the hate towards gen 7 and were I forced myself into disliking Alola. Looking back to that I was pretty stubborn, but still I gotta say that Alola has many points, that I still dislike to this day. The cutscenes, handholding and the missing freedom.
On the other hand, Alola has brought some interesting things that I quite enjoy, the Ultra Beasts, the concept and ambience of the world, Team-Skull and of course the brilliant music. Pokemon just never fails, when it comes to music.
