These are actually pretty old and Eagle came out with these during the early years of GWOT. They weren't really issued to regular Soldiers/Marines initially either. There are a lot of old but new stock floating around in these and some heavily used ones in obsolete camo patterns/colors.

As someone who has used these for 12+ hour patrols in 40+ degree heat, it’s great, comfy, can carry twice that of the issued crap, and also the massive pads are more for flotation in water as these were originally designed for navy SEALS, a verson of it, the Blackhawk! LRAK was issued to the German kampfswimmers

The spiritus micro rig might be all you need if you're just popping down to whole foods for soy milk. This rig is meant for carrying lots of shit in places where you *need* lots of shit

@@troubleinbound you came back with that response to a 1 year old comment 🤣🤣 ok got ya.. everything I said in the original post is still valid.. you don’t need any of that crap for something like this.. this is why almost every high end reputable company making similar product they are strap only.. you need padding when you add 16-20lbs of plates to a system.. a plated system is 30+ lbs so yeah that is needed. A basic vest it is definitely not needed.. no one anywhere with any credibility would use one that was padded cause you then have stock to shoulder issues.. pack over shoulder issues.. all sorts of issues in real use situations that mil sim larps don’t have to experience. Spiritus makes a lot of good shit! A lot of what they make is the default go to for those that need this shit to the point they spend their own money buying it cause it’s that good and they got that good a reputation..
