This one segment is proof that the rest of the show is actually Mizuhara's fault. He was about to end it and stop anything else from snowballing into something worse, but because Mizuhara thought she was helping, the rest of the show happened.

Dexyu Dexyu and in terms of needing money chizuru doesn’t need kazuya for that. She could be rented 24/7 for how she looks and she could go by her life without kazuya tbh. She did that for a reason and for that reason is that she cares about him (or his grandma). She had her choice to intervene or not and if she didn’t, kazuya wouldn’t have any relationship with her.

Even if chizuhara didnt do it on purpose, it made it harder for mc to tell the truth. If she hadnt done that, he would have eventually met the blue ribbon girl, therefore making a better future for himself. Also grandma being to harsh to him, but come on, almost 4 of 10 youngsters had grandmas like that, even worse in the old times
