@@johnivi6480 This was a documentary series funded by Oprah. Some reality shows are scripted and they list the writers during the credits. Not every single one is though. I'm sure having the cameras around incentivized people to be more aggressive than they normally would be so they could be seen as stern on the show though.

@@thingthang2904 10 minutes? She said it’s been a week since she has asked him and there have been multiple times of her giving him the keys only for him to not deal with it in a timely manner causing her to constantly get locked out. If he actually had them ordered, why didn’t he just say that?

I'm actually impressed with her management capabilities. She handled that situation very professionally given the circumstances. She broke down why this was important, explained the opportunities that were available to avoid the incident from happening, and offered a solution. When she felt she was being disrespected, she explained how she felt, explained why, and explained a means to communicate with her allowing what he defined to be his problem to have a solution. Many people in management could take a lesson here. Even if this situation was about clothes, it applies to a wide range of problems that may arise. I'll probably catch slack for this, but that's okay.

+Joseph Simiele - It's easy to be right when you're the only person talking. Like with the keys for example. She seemed to be absolutely right about wanting more keys and that it takes 10 minutes. He only spoke for a few seconds in the confessional later and his reason was perfectly justified. It's not 10 minutes of making copies, these keys had to be ordered.

Luisa Peraza She asked for more keys. She said she asked Friday. Even if it's Thursday, many deliveries take more than a week. Doesn't matter how much time he has. If he placed the order and it's on its way, there's nothing else he can (or should) do.

If I paid someone to fix my car and I brought them my car and left it at the shop and came back the next day and my car wasn't fixed, I'd be upset. If I paid a mover to move my furniture and i said I needed it done by a certain day, and they didn't do it, I'd be upset. She's in the right here.

In Lidsays defense, the assistant really isn't doing his job. It literally takes 10s to explain the keys are ordered... why does he need 5mins of her undivided attention to explain something so simple? He needs to find another line of work, obviously he's not cut out for the job.

The issue is that he can say they're ordered, but she'll still have a fit and say, "Why didn't you just go to the store?" She'll keep finding reasons to get mad and he'll need to explain it all.

Shes been raped, drugged, trafficked, abused, addicted to drugs and alcohol, publicly humiliated to the point where she moved out of the country, her dad told the tabloids she had Aids, grew up in an abusive home with coke addicted parents, her parents didn't raise her, friends sold her out to tabloids....the list goes on and on. This all happened when she was in her late teens early twenties. The fact that she is still alive is a miracle. Not taking away from other people's struggles. Just acknowledging hers.

Closet Organizer. Copy of the Keys. Lack of communication between him and the rest of her team. I didn't say she was a good boss, but she is his boss. She's paying extremely good money to be on top of all this and (unfortunately) deal with her diva attitude. He knew what the job entailed, and if it's to much for him then he should move to less high maintenance.

Vault Tec He sent the keys to be copied, but they couldn't be done immediately. You can tell from what she says that she doesn't know that, she doesn't give him a chance to tell her these things, AND obviously she has an attitude that makes him reluctant to be honest with her. Those are all her problem.

Yes. He did send them off the second time he was asked too. It's also mentioned that she made another assistant get the keys because like you said, she didn't know he sent it off to get copied. Now she's going to have to pay for extra keys, because of the miscommunication that she's unaware of at the time in this video. Again, I'll reiterate. He's getting paid A LOT of money to be on top of this stuff and get communication across. If he's afraid to communicate (Whether she's the problem or not), he needs a new job. He's not performing the job she hired him for.

as far as I know, these were particular keys. I worked in a locksmith's shop and I know that it takes some time to make those keys for sure. So if you want a copy, you definitely need to be patient. Hence, it is not his fault but at least he could have explained himself.

Yes she can fold her own clothes , but she didn't want to , so she hired someone to do the job, and he didn't do it. On top of not doing his job he is giving disrespect! That's like having. Plumber come to your house to fix a leak, and he doesn't do what you asked/ paid him to do... I am an assistant too. If my boss sends me a list of stuff to do then I likely need time to ask a lot of questions because it seems easy for the boss to fire off a bunch of nonsensical information in an email. The problem is that leads to questions. Intelligent questions that need to be answered by the boss person. When you go to the boss person they think it is a real imposition that you are there, but truth is you are there to solve all their problems but you need clarification. 5 min. in the morning and 5 min. in the evening is brilliant!! Bosses take note!!! 5 min. 5 minutes. You cannot give 5 minutes to your support staff so they get clarification!!!??? That is like shooting yourself in the foot.

Despite the stuff that may have been out of his control, the actual blow up was totally on HIM. She was understanding that things happen, BUT then he goes on to say :55 and that's when it went south! If he had just said a :55 "I am sorry Lindsay I will get it all taken care of" then stop talking

If she's his boss, he doesnt need 5 morning in the minutes and 5 at night. An emailed list of things needed should be done annnnd accomplished. I've worked and managed several crews, I couldnt imagine dealing with this in the hollywood world, even if he were only a minimum wage worker. crazy.

He actually told her this before she hired him. This is what I need to do my job, 10 minutes to talk to you, 5 in the morning and 5 in the evening. She agreed and hired him. That was the deal when he was hired and once again Lindsay is not coming through on her part.

She handled that very well. She is a great comminicator and, she looks really good now. She's come a long way. She shares Zendaya's stylist now, so her comeback is gonna be wonderful. She married now and seems like she's in a very good place. I'm happy for her.

it's not easy to just get rid of an assistant. the person has to be somebody you can trust. there are so many wierdo assistants out there. some are undercover who work for the media and before you know it. your exposed as hell.

It seems like they have crappy communication with each other in general. Her saying she doesn't have time for him doesn't make sense. How is he supposed to do all of these things FOR HER without HER input? It just doesn't make sense. He should have also interjected that the keys were something that required a special order. Also, her calling someone out like that in front of other people, much less cameras, is not going to help him be more productive. There are different ways to get through to someone.

I really respect Lindsay for her confidence. I think she is right because the guy supposed to make things easy for her and she is the one who give the paycheck. Assistant is lying he didn't get the keys. During the conversation he said give me time and then during his face to face interview he said he had done and he needed to get them picked up. If that was the case why he didn't bring up during the conversation. I don't like how he talks back. He acts like he is the boss.

He did not get the keys because they were not ready. Special made keys are ordered. She needs to listen and she doesnt. He is standing his ground and letting her know to give him at least 10 minutes in 24 hours for her to shut up.

I don't think Lindsay was unreasonable at all. But being a personal assistant, you need to get your attitude in check. Talking back and being dismissive of what your boss is saying is completely unprofessional and you should quit if you're not happy with your job. You may be equals as humans but never forget that you're still the employee and ranked below your boss. I would've fired the man on the spot.

Lindsey is right though! He works for Lindsey not the other way around. He should have told her about having to get special keys made when she first brought it up. He sitting there with an attitude the whole time while she is speaking. He was wrong. As an assistant you are to do whatever she wants you to do. If you don't want to do it then quit.

But also like… I feel a personal assistant should have the skill of anticipating needs? He can see all of her clothes out in disarray. Making sure she lives in a clean and organized space seems like a basic expectation that doesn’t really need explanation. Whether he outsources that task or does it himself, that’s his job to handle it. She’s got other, bigger things to worry about, such as her projects and ventures that keep her team paid. I would’ve found a new assistant personally.
