Another quality review. You've mentioned the Final B3 a couple times, will you be reviewing it? I ask as I'm considering buying it and a couple other IEMs around the same price.
@intoitreviews
@intoitreviews 3 года назад
I will be yes. Probably a month or so before that one hits the youtubes... but I will tell you this... b3 is one of, if not, my favorite iem out right now. Its got great ba bass, and is very natural sounding overall, but is ba bass, so won't satisfy bassheads. Its more a neutral reference iem.

@intoitreviews
@intoitreviews 3 года назад
Next step up, would probably be Final Audio B3, but that comes with a price increase. Other options in the 100-200 market that I recommend would be the A4000, OH10, Tanchjim Hana, and TRI Starsea. I look forward to reviewing the Dusk. I will have a review of the the Blessing 2 out shortly. I am more critical than most of it, and it won't be my rec as the step up. Unsure if the the Dusk will be better... People might be able to encourage HiFiGo to send me a DM8. That would be rad! Thanks again for being a subscriber to the Neighborhood. @@intoitreviews huh, I've seen lots of people saying FH3 bests OH10 completely. So much, actually, that I've come to regret not getting myself the FH3. Although, I feel like your impression differ somewhat from what I've read/heard about it before. Nevertheless, you made me feel better about missing out on it. I'm pretty interested in the Starsea, but I strongly dislike it's aesthetics, so I'm hesitant about those. Apart from that, they seem like a great option which might fit my requirements pretty well. Also, I want to make a suggestion of sorts. Although, I reckon it might be too tedious of a fit. Maybe it would have been better to review the IEMs with at least one type of the stock tips atop of the specific thirds-party tips you find yourself to prefer? Sometimes those can prove to be not that easily accessible in some parts of the world, so... That must require a lot, maybe even too much, of time and effort, though, I guess.
@intoitreviews
@intoitreviews 3 года назад
Stock tips on fh3 are fine. Fh3 lacks some dynamics in general compared to OH10 for example. On the Fh3, stock tips aren't far off dual density, but dual density helps with the lacking dynamics issue. FiiO did fine with what is in the box here, if you don't have access in your country to alternative tips, I wouldn't worry about that too much here, at least not in this case.

Hey, I just subbed because I like the comprehensive reviews of IEMS between 100-200 dollars. I am really sold on the starsea, however I just found the FH3. I listen to primarily EDM and country (so I like a warmer mid forward sound with some bass) I love my HD600. I know that the starsea has tuning switches to add bass. What would you recommend in this price range? Thanks.

I'd go with the Original Hana if you can still get one. New Hana is a question mark in my eyes, given that the tuning of the Oxygen was worse than that of the OG Hana... (although detail, seperation was better in Oxygen). I've tried to get a New Hana sent into the channel. No luck so far though... but yeah the orginal tuning of Hana should be better, at least on paper.

I enjoy my set. Wanted ikko oh10 but it was almost double the price. Legacy 3 qc where worrying about nozzle tip breakage despite great sound. Starfields seemed too harmon safe that I'd probably have to eq into being more fun but doubt they could best the other 3 stock. Fh3 and everything they packaged together seemed like the best all around and I'm pretty happy with it for the price. If I could buy another and keep the fh3 it would be the oh10. I'd rather jump the next tier into Mangird Tea or monarchs but that's a lot more money. Something down the road to shoot for. Thanks for the video content..

FH3 vs. Starsea for specifically rock/metal? I really do prefer the presence of deep sub-bass and seems like Starsea is a bit lacking in that regard vs. FH3. Fh3 is ok... its got some unevenness to the midrange that makes guitars sound a bit off sometimes. Its a good iem, but for the money I'd recommend the original hana if you can still get one for metal. 2021 hana is supposed to have more subbass. Bass in starsea is good, but its like openedback headphone bass. Its enough for me, sounds like it may not be for you. And its a bit v shaped unless you use the black tips. Hana is much better than fh3 imho. Fh3 is good though too, not saying its bad...

"Better" sounds like is subjective here. The sad part is that diminishing returns can only get worse as you spend more money (sometimes). I also have no clue what to recommend to you if these don't fit you because they're fairly universal. Also this video is quite old at this point and there are newer options on the scene such as Orchestra Lite, Kato, Origin, Mp145, and even some others than came before the fh3. I mean even the fhe is better than the fh3 IMHO, and it is also old at this point as well. New isn't always better, so maybe watch my other newer content to get some better options for yourself. Otherwise, not everyone can hear differences super well,, especially novices. Keep listening to different things and you can improve. Best of luck, thanks for supporting the channel by watching and subscribing.

The FH3 dark? I have the bass tips on to tame the highs and The Sleeper was almost piercing at volume 30 on the BTR5. Man... My ears are buzzing.The GranD Funks also have quite fatiguing highs. For my money, I would take the Starseas over the FH3, especially when these can occasionally be found for around $109 during sale events. Either people swear on the FH3 or are not a huge fan. Very respected reviewers like Crinacle and Precogvision didn't like the FH3 that much, citing that the tuning of the FH3s is on the wonky side. That being said, I haven't seen anyone bash these. Kit is very complete for $130 and will likely please your average consumer.
