I’ve had less energy available to respond in the comments so to all newly diagnosed sub’s congratulations on the diagnosis. (If you are puzzled why we congratulate newly diagnosed autists feel free to ask me) Guys she’s been sewing so much shorts she must have a whole collection by now. I just wish I didn’t have to wash them all. lol. I was able to do some gardening, other than that I did a lot of resting this week. I want to say I’m better but I’m still low energy. The best remedy is resting when needed and in my case sleeping at odd times. My brain likes before dinner naps for some reason. I have an impromptu therapy appointment today hopefully after that appointment I will have the energy to watch the sewing box video. I’m not telling anyone anything new when I say I love the crafting videos. And I’m a big guy so I probably count for two lol. Have a good week Claire and friends.

The tour went well last week! This week, the school is on spring break, so I'm taking my son for a tour. I'm nervous, but I have support with me. If all goes well, he will start next month! Keep making the crafty vids. I would watch more of them to help you out, but my neurodivergent kiddos come first. Then work, my own neurodivergent issues, volunteer work, household chores... Ack, I'm working myself up just thinking about everything that needs done yet. Anywho, I usually have vids running in the background for me to listen too if not watch while my hands are busy with other things. But between you, Taylor, Orion, Jenn, some news channels, educational channels, nerd stuff, and all the music makers I follow; I just don't have time to watch everything. 'Porch Coffee' has become kind of a ritual for me kicking off each new week, so thanks for being here for us, for me.

I love the crafty videos as well even though I am not into yarn and crochet. My week was not great. My youngest son picked me up, squeezed me, and broke my rib and then a few days later I had to help my eldest son move to a different city. I am worried about my eldest living alone as he is an AuDHD person with extreme executive functioning issues and is also in a very controlling long distance relationship. Today I am in a lot of pain but have to help my autistic elderly Mother out and drive her to a few places and also somehow pack and ship some things that I sold over the weekend. Please send good thoughts. It is a struggle over here right now!

Congrats on the new sewing machine! So fun! I was actually sewing this week. I like to remake some of my jeans into shorts when the knees or hems wear out. 😊 This week had some really stressful times, but also some good times. Im in a good place right now which Im thankful.

Welcome back Imposter Mug. The mug I'm using for my tea is the same colour as your imposter mug....dark green. I'm glad your business is goin well! Yay for your own sewing machine!!! I got my sewing machine back on Friday. It was nearly $100 for a tune-up but apparently it works well now... it's about 20 years old and things were out of alignment, which is why it was skipping stitches. I watch everything. I'm not a yarn/crochet person, but I like crafts and do sewing, so I'm interested in crafty stuff and it's interesting to see the deals you get at craft/sewing stores and through thrifting. Yay for Taylor on the podcast!

question for the podcast with Taylor for both of you: I would love to know what kind of therapies either of you have tried or found helpful *after* your diagnosis. I have been in therapy since I was 13 (36 now) for various things and have been in all kinds of modalities (group, talk, art, etc.). The only therapist that recognized my Autism was just a few years ago. It has been super healing to recognize that a lot of the things other therapists were trying to help me "fix", are just me being my autistic self and I don't need to be fixed, just accepted and better understood. It is hard being a late diagnosed woman because it seems that most of us are late diagnosed and going down this path at similar times. I feel like I need an older, wiser "autie auntie" to guide me or relate to sometimes haha. I do find it difficult that there aren't a lot of great autism specialist in my area and I would appreciate being able to talk to someone that is a bit more educated and experienced with helping autistic people come into their own, ya know? I am just wondering if ya'll have had luck in finding good therapists, post diagnosis that really get you or if most of your healing and understanding is coming from other autistic peers. So far, I feel like I have done so much research and reading but as a late diagnosed autistic adult, it sure would be nice to have someone else who has been down this road a lot longer to talk to and guide me. Your hair is looking nice today. The 'natural' colour suits you. Another pretty boring wk for us. Been trying to do more stamina building exercise and actually managed a bit more. I now have a firm Surgery date of a wk Tuesday. 🥺 I won't deny it's scary... (been more heavily dissociated because of it - I'm sure there'll be much more of that to come esp. in the hospital.)

One of the things I can't handle right now is the comment section. My comment section that is on my channel. It's getting completely out of hand and I can't respond nor do I want to respond to some of these comments, especially ones that are disgusting, completely inappropriate, talking about incest with my son the stuff like that. Not sure how to go about it except just not respond to any of my comments anymore.

Video Editing is too low 👎👎👎👎 Edit the video in a good style. Add nice b-roll animation when you are speaking or explaining something. This will increase visualization. Put proper subtitles, effects, transitions, and colors in the video. Insert the B-Roll (footage and animation) very well because it is absolutely low in your video. Do all this and then see how the video doesn't turn out good. 🫖
