An early morning walk around Keswick in the Lake District. 

This roughly follows the route in the 'Walks around Keswick' map-guide by footprint, but also takes in the gorgeous Crow Park. Keswick Centre to Crow Park and then on to Friar's Crag. Retrace your footsteps a little to go through Cockshot Wood and onto the amazing viewing point at Castle Head. Back into Keswick via Springs Road and Ambleside Road to the Centre again. This short walk (4km) offers wonderful views of Derwentwater, the Borrowdale Valley, Catbells and Skiddaw. That's on top of the wander through Keswick itself. We start by walking up to Market Square and the famous Moot Hall, then onto Lake Road, all with wonderful shops and great places to eat and drink.
