Thank you SO MUCH for this excellent documentary. To think of how few folk art and outsider art museums exist in general...it's almost criminal. There isn't one single outsider art museum/gallery in the entire United Kingdom except for a tiny one in London which only rotates small exhibits dedicated to one artist at a time. I don't understand this huge gap in the both the art and cultural history side of things-- every country in the world ought to have museums and galleries that celebrate the local vernacular, folk art (with geographic and historical context provided) and of course, so-called 'outsider art'. I'm baffled. At least I have RU-vid. That's something. I'm grateful, thank you.
A beautiful tribute to the legacy of Pete, who brought much joy to life with his folk art collection. Rare peek at his home in Woodville, Virginia before his passing.
How bloody fabulous! I don't know how the "RU-vid faeries" dragged up this content for me, but I AM GLAD THEY DID! How can you have 1.27K subscribers and only 701 views and 17 "likes?" It just seems ridiculous to me. Cheers from Australia! 🦘
