Monica, don’t ever worry about content. Your vlogs are always fun. You always have guest stars (Jason, Shelby, Dad Church, pups, etc…), adventure (will she/won’t she take the train), food, travel, you’ve got the whole package. Just post lots.
I’d watch a daily vlog and I’d watch a monthly vlog- as long as you’re having fun and the vibes are immaculate (always are) I think we’re just thankful you share these moments with us!
I use my Chase Sapphire points for hotels…I also have chase Hyatt card one free night per year…my husband is a million miler on delta, we haven’t paid for flights in 20 years!
I'll tell you why the birds are chirping at that early morning hour...it is the coolest time of the day. Living in the desert as well, this occurs in the summertime.
Watermellon! My fiance and I were dating for 8 years, then got engaged and are doing a 2 yr + engagment. Makes the planning less stressful and more fun! Also, we got engaged ont he first day of a trip and we kept it secrect until we came back which made it so much more special; would reccomend eveyrone do this!
The train sounds fun, but then you said 35 hours... so fair enough haha. But I love train travel, they're so much more relaxing and you get to see all the pretty scenery
Absolutely, I tip at Starbucks. I'm from a small college town, and we have our own local coffee company (Durango Joe's), and I remember when we weren't allowed to tip at Starbucks. And I always felt awkward thinking, "Why doesn't Starbucks let us tip their barista" I even asked the employees if I could just tip them. They weren't allowed to accept tips. So, yes! Please tip your baristas wherever you're getting your coffee. They deserve it! 🙂
I used to work at a licensed Starbucks, and whenever we had a good day of tipping I would be so thankful! That money does help!! For the first few years of me working there the tips went to charity, which was super nice but I was so happy when they changed it to go to us!!
Fun video to watch! The sandwich at Saltys looked so delicious. Monica this is just a thought: tell Jason I think a fun proposal time would be when you guys take possession of your new PS home. (no pressure Jason) 😃
I know it didn’t work out, but I would really love a video about the train experience. I’ve been thinking a lot about it lately since my husband and I have been craving a vacation but have a 1yr old and thought a train would be easier
I took the train for the first time from SF to LA a few weeks ago. I thoroughly enjoyed it! Tickets are expensive, but with the roomette, breakfast, lunch and 3 course dinner with glass of wine are included in the price of the ticket. And the food is pretty darn good I have to say.
I’m kind of at a point where I just wish employers would pay their employees a fair wage so we don’t have to contribute to their salary. We already pay so much for products & services as it is 🤷♀️
Thats so funny what you guys said about driving in California. I am born and raised in SoCal and I recently visited Washington in the Seattle area, and it was driving me crazy how slow and chill everyone drives there! I feel like no matter where you are people go 40mph in WA. Where the average here is more like 70+
I've taken the train from Vancouver BC to Seattle, and it's cheaper than flights but nicer than taking a bus if you didn't want to drive. California to Seattle is much longer, but if you aren't in a rush, it can be fun seeing scenery beyond the highway
I’m so sad no train video!! I’ve always wanted to take one of those beautiful train rides and drink a cocktail / have food and enjoy the experience. It’s also sad it can be so expensive vs places like Europe where the train system is so good and inexpensive
Places like Starbucks that ask for tips it gets split between all the hourly staff. So I always tip I use to work at Panera and the tips really helped my paycheck so I appreciate it and I pay it forward when I can.
Some folks swear by this method: If you thump the rind of a watermelon and it sounds hollow, then it's ripe, juicy, and ready to eat; if the thump produces a higher-pitch ringing sound, it's underripe; then if you just hear a thud, it's overripe
Hi Monica! I'm from Serbia and tipping is not required here. People only tip when they're really happy and satisfied with the service usually in restaurant or a cafe where you sit and spend some time, but not in places like Starbucks where you're taking something for "go-to".
Yes! Love to see a vlog specially from you on this rainy Thursday! Also welcome to the club of buying fruit without knowing how to pick them, specially a Watermelon 😂😂😂
we kinds look the same except I have sever rosacea, chunky wide stubby cankles, inflamed gums and a ferociously goddess-like floor length neon orange pigtail extensions. I am also 4'11 with a lisp and a subtle Arabian accent. although I was born in Pacoima.
Watermelon 🍉 I think it’s probably for the best that the train trip didn’t work out. Amtrak isn’t that great. Especially is you are wanting the quintessential train trip experience. I would recommend planning a vacation where you’re taking the beautiful European fancy train, or even a Japanese bullet train. It would be a much more enjoyable experience. By the way, I was a little surprised that there weren’t any shots of the couple that was getting engaged. I hope everything worked out OK.
I think some tipping has gotten quite out of hand, but I’ll still tip at Starbucks occasionally if I got exceptional service, since they are making the drinks for you.
Watermelon 🍉 As a frequent train taker, I advise against long-distance train rides. My husband and I frequently take the train between San Francisco and Sacramento since we don’t own a car and we find that these trips are worth the time and $$ bc the travel time usually = driving time (w/o train delays). Amtrak is a form of transit so you don’t get to leave the train much like you would, say, a cruise ship, when you’re on it for multiple hrs. It’s more worth your time and money to just fly.
Watermelon! I want to love the train, but I hate it so much! It feels like it stops every 20 minutes, takes forever, bad food, and for me it feels claustrophobic. 😅😅
NO! NO! NO! Don't ever take a 35 hour train ride! lol I have taken long train rides and the novelty wears off real fast. Probably after 5 hours, you would have been thinking ... why did I do this?!? Boredom sets in and you feel trapped. Not to mention your time is valuable and you would have spent 35 hours on this trip. But I guess everyone should try once to decide for themselves.
Asian chef taught me to look at the end of the watermelon (or other melons) that is not the end where the stem was. Try to find one with the smallest “button”. It is a best guess I think. But this is supposed to be not over or under sized.
Watermelon! Generally, don't pick massives ones, and if its has a pale spot, this is a good sign bcause it means its been laying out in the sun for a good ammount of time.
There is an wine tasting train in Napa Valley, now given that you like wine that's something really up your alley :) RU-vid does not allow me to post a link to the site unfortunately.
Starbucks in UAE, where I live doesn’t ask for tips and I once wanted to tip the person on the counter and so she told me it goes to Starbucks and not to her. I was like, never mind
