Yay! You’re so humble and thoughtful. You deserve to catch a break, people’s lack of follow through is awful these days. No sense of commitment! It’s why I break my back going the extra mile for everyone I can. Your self reflection is perfect and healthy! ❤
I was wondering if she pays for the gifts out of pocket or if her agency pays for them? Not sure how it works because she always seems to get them such nice gifts!!
Was just about to say this! Our realtor essentially ghosted us after we bought our home. On moving day, she just texted us the lock box code and then never heard from her again. No "congratulations" or anything! It was our first home so we thought that was normal and then a friend bought their first home a month later and she got a gift basket with gift cards and champagne and I was like WHAT.
Your pups are adorable! I love your rooftop deck. You are an awesome realtor. It's not your fault the jerk flaked. Also, when I bought a home my realtor didn't do anything for us. You definitely go above and beyond.❤️
Always excited to see you post!! I love your life with Jason and I love your realness; shitty client, pee-pee sofa to clean, being messy with your partner. So relatable ❤
I have bought 4 houses in my life and never once has an agent provided such a thoughtful gift. To be honest, I’m not sure an agent has EVER given us any kind of gift upon a purchase. You’re awesome.
I don't think it's weird, or wrong, to feel anxious and nervous about having to bring bad news, especially if this was the first time you had to. And it does affect you in ten years... in the sense that you've learnt something and gained more experience. And yes, maybe next time you will be yelled at :)
My fav??? Crab cakes!!! I also live in the PNW (Eugene, Or area) and we have fresh crabs all the time at Newman's fishmarket....I love using organic items and fry them in Olive or Avocado Oil....add a great salad and a Kombucha...........oh yum!!!!!
requesting a ride from an airport is expensive is because of the marked up rates and airport surcharge - best to take a free shuttle to a local hotel out of the surcharged area b4 calling an Uber/Lift 😊🥰
You can get on the light rail and take it all the way to Capital Hill stop and then either do the bus or then take a cheaper Uber from there to where she is. That is what I did when I lived there.
@@mollycaple343 exactly - I live in the area and that's what I do. its about 16 buck taxi ride one way. Still beats driving your car to the airport and parking costs
Hey! former salesperson here (not RE)....this is common...the ghosting. Very important thing I still remind myself daily: contracts are a means for negotiation...and not everyone can/will/needs to take them as seriously as you do. Hope this perspective helps!
I am about to start a whole house reno ( I say it's like I am flipping my own townhouse) and I am putting in hardwood in the entire house. So ripping out the old hardwood with planks much narrower than todays style and all the old carpet. Cannot wait!
I love that you care so much to do the garden and house for your buyers ❤. In the UK you would never get an Estate Agent doing anything on a house 😂, you even have to go to the office to get the keys! You are lucky if they even say congratulations on the new home!
I'm a realtor too and OMG THAT STRESS YOUR TALKING ABOUT ☹️ Because technically it isn't our fault, but we are liable for everything and need to face the other realtor! I wish all realtors were as understanding as the one you were collaborating with
that’s every city I’ve been to, not just seattle. Was $90 to travel 20 min from the Dallas airport the other day. It’s all major airports during certain hours it seems.
Great job, Monica as always. You always give it your all. From being a RU-vidr to a Realtor, you are all grown up now. So happy to see you doing well. You are learning as you go. There is probably a lot to learn about selling homes. Good luck. Don't be afraid at your first setback. If this is your calling. Don't be afraid to ask people more experienced than you for help and mentoring.
not sure if you know this, many Amazon offices have free parking during nights/weekends. For example, I often park at Amazon Doppler when I'm going to downtown during weekends.
Yeah 🎉your floors are done and that steamer worked a treat. I loved those properties especially that last one with the Gorgeous bathroom and lovely welcome gift 💝 That guy that ghosted 👻 you is a jerk. And although not one to ghost myself I just found your coaching form in my spam 😮I’ll win touch 😉
You know, the real estate agent you called about the earnest money likely had someone do that to him. He'll understand. You're also such a lovely realtor, cutting grass and pulling weeds for the buyers. That's a really nice thing to do. If you want to be cheeky, you should get Jason a Sponge Daddy to help him clean off that grimy avocado. ;)
your garden containers are not that large, so they need more frequent watering in our Seattle summer weather. Almost daily!! Also, try and focus the water on the soil surface (without blasting it around) as most plants don't like water on their foliage. Sun can burn the leaves with water on them, in the heat of the day. Good luck, container gardening is the best for patios and rooftop decks!! Love your content!
Some people are so weird, I mean it's so hard to get a house in the first place and I've heard of people placing the deposit down (which can be tens of thousands of dollars) and then walking away and losing it or whatever cause they changed their minds?! It's so bizarre, do they just have money to burn and don't care
Love your vlogs! Garden tip: when you are watering your plants just water the soil under the plant. Not the leaves or flowers because on days when it’s hot those little water droplets get too hot and burn the leaves. ❤
I thought Sur La Table was closed? So happy you were in Pikes. ❤. Have a great day. You go above and beyond. My realtor gave me a cute key and I thought that was nice. 🤣
i absolutely love how u spoil ur clients. i live in ca and my realtor gave my husband and i a bottle of wine and xmas soap for in the summer. -___- also jason calling u out on the avocado in the bowl- girl i do that all the time lols
Yeay nice vlog Monica :) & dang $159?, did that little steam cleaner work? I don’t even have a pet but I have wood floors (& mostly hate the thought of renting/returning one).
Wait, Monica, is it typical for the real estate agent to do house and yard work for a buyer?? Wouldn't the seller have to take care of all of that? I'm so confused.
She mentioned they closed on the house in March. So, no, the seller would not come back three or so months later and pull the weeds and tend the yard 😅 Usually, yes, the seller would fix up the yard to sell.
Didn't realize that the buyers agent had to make the house nice for the buyers to move in. Did you just do that to be nice for them or isn't that usually on the sellers?
OMG - can you be my realtor? bought and sold many homes and never ever had one of them do any yard work !!!! Also: pro tip - you need to collaborate with a sponsor for the client thank you gifts - maybe something "Monika & Jason" branded
Mon. you really are having a challenging time aren't you. Just relax, I had to tell a client off today. Dealing with people is a real bummer. So, as you said 10 years from now are you really gunna care. So, stop worrying about what people think or will do. Just move on. Life's too short.
saw your tennis lessons with Shelby's vlog. lol yall do the whitest hobbies ever, your golfing and now your shared tennis. lol. It's totally ok, don't worry, it's just funny!
