The Colorado Trail is 540 miles (867km), has 72k feet (22k meters) of vertical gain, and travels from Denver to Durango. In this video, I make the final 30 mile push into Durango, which turns out to be much harder than anticipated.

When I got into mountain biking 20 years ago, I learned that beauty comes with sweat, pain, persistence and a positive attitude. I am 49 now and still loving it and I carry a bottle of Advil with me on the ride. 😁. Ryan, you should start selling your no flatties, no crashies and bo whammies trademark merchandise such as sweatband or t-shirt. I’ll buy it to support your channel and spread your channel to my fellow mountain bikers .

I have to take a quote from the late Chris McCandless here - "The very basic core of a man's living spirit is his passion for adventure. The joy of life comes from our encounters with new experiences, and hence there is no greater joy than to have an endlessly changing horizon, for each day to have a new and different sun." This gruelling 11 day challenge was a true testament to the spirit of what he was trying to get across. It's an adventure you will cherish and carry with you for a lifetime. Such a truely astounding accomplishment! Hold your head up high, Duzer!

When you got emotional at the end, I knew exactly how you felt. Anybody who's ever done a hard tour has had their share of tears and moments of great relief. And its exactly as you said: its an experience of growth and a memory that will never be forgotten.

As a fellow long distance bike rider, but on roads. And, a one time rider of RAGBRAI, I want you to think about this. Think about all the food you eat while on RAGBRAI, then think about all the food you didn't eat on this ride. Yeah, food is fuel for the mind and body. So maybe a small set of rear panniers to carry more food would not be a bad thing. Any ways, glad you made it and now you can rest, winter is almost on us.

Extremely motivating and wonderful series. From the “ 5 miles to Kennebec” sign to Kennebec Pass is one of the most beautiful stretches I’ve ever ridden and without doubt from there to Durango is much harder and deceiving than the elevation profile might suggest. Ryan, I have watched and re-watched all you video series. You do such an awesome job of story telling, music overlay, interviews, photography, all of it; and your attitude of authenticity, and respect; right down to how you "thank" the earth for where you stay each night! Its deeply spiritual. Your videos truly show the depth of who you are and how you treat the rest of the world (animal, earth, and human). Thank you again for what you do.

Often described in your words, of breaking through the , "pain cave." The human connection, only enriched the journey and always warms my heart. Ryan, what you did was unbelievable!!! You covered more than 70Km per day. You're a beast! And I noticed you did not experience flat tires or tires having lesser air. I'm amazed, man. I hope someday, I would be able to do what you did. All the best, Ryan!

You are amazing. Here in Germany are no spots to ride like this and you made it pure fun to see it. Thanks and I hope you will get back on your bike sooner as you thought.
