Me and my girl went to see Mac back in 2015 in Milwaukee. During the show he made note to the audience that it was Friday night and if anyone was down to party let the merch guy know. After the show we were on the wrong side of the alley for a meet and greet. We ran around the venue to the opposite side and sure enough there was the barricade and as we were walking up the last two people in line were walking away which then made us the last at least that we know of. Anyways. We congratulated him on a great show. Talked a sec. Grabbed a pic and my girl ended up saying so where’s the party….?? He yelled to one of his people for the address and gave us it. We were stoked on the way. When we got there it was this like old warehouse type workshop 2 story building with an old basement that was just a damn maze basically. Anywho we ended up chilling. Caught a few minutes to hang with Mac one on one. Talked with Andy the guitarist at the time a bit as well as the other members. At the end as everyone was basically leaving I dropped a beer while walking away and Mac asked if he could have it. Haha. We got in the car quick and there van was a few yards away and my girl ended running to their van and asking for a smoke and Mac gave her a marb red we kept as a keepsake. Pretty surreal experience. He was pretty well known and playing biggef places at the time but I recall seeing him on jimmy fallon about a year later and it just reminded me of what a great perfect night that was and how huge of a musical influence he was for me. Never forget that. This concert definitely seems like a memorable one too. It’d be awesome to see a set of his like this with all the greats and more. Cool stuff.
Chris Fishman, Daryl Johns, and Pedro Martins are three of the best jazz musicians in the world. Chris plays piano with Pat Metheny and he’s playing drums in this band. Pretty crazy. They all sound so tight.
I fell in love with Mac's music in 2013, Daryl's in 2017, and Martins/Fishman & co (via LC) in 2022, three totally unconnected events, coming from a very different musical perspective each time. The fact that they're all hanging out and playing together now feels like the universe is on some nutty wish-fulfillment kick
Thanks for uploading!! I can't imagine how it feels for Mac to be playing his music with three of the greatest jazz musicians alive and his longest standing bandmate and old friend at a sold out show at the Hollywood Bowl... must be fucking surreal!
Is it (JD Beck?) and Daryl but whose the third (guitar dude) Also shoutout Alec and I miss having humorous bandmates that’s what really made a mac show but Pierce is doing the video stuffs, Pete really made it with his HOMESHAKE project, Andys got a band i need to listen to and I just can’t believe how long Joe toured with him We’re all just gettin old now and it’s time to move onto the new
@@cadenbenton6235 Pedro Martins. He was signed to Kurt Rosenwinkel's label a few years ago and put out two unbelievable records. Definitely check out Radio Mysterio.
@@cadenbenton6235 It’s Chris Fishman who plays piano with Pat Metheny on DRUMS! Pedro Martins on guitar and Daryl Johns on bass. Pretty insane And those three have made some great music together in each others bands.
I met Mac and Andy back in 2019 at Yellow Jack Social here in Austin, and I bought both of them beers after their show at Auditorium Shores. Amazing night!
I remember I was there on night 2 and that was the best life experience of my life and it’s sad because back then I was a huge Mac Demarco fan but not as much as I am now but yeah one of the best days of my life and my first ever condert
@@EILLO_OLLIE yep! im pretty sure i saw him post on facebook saying ''this is my last show for this year'' or something, dont exactly remember but we are probably getting more tours next year!
I went the first night of his 3 performance street. Talented af and amazing band! I would love to relive this moment again because video don't do the concert justice. Thank you for sharing your night :)
Thank you so much for uploading this! I was at the show on the 17th and I wanted to here that jazzy steel guitar version of Moonlight on the River sooooo badly
I hadn't seen Mac live in a while (read years) and I also heard that he sort of disappeared and I was surprised to see that his entire band is new, but man, what a perfect live sound. "Ode to Viceroy" I don't think I've seen played so well live since Peter's time (especially that "Safe for Work" stream), and then I discovered that his guitarist is my fellow Brazilian (dale Pedro). And how good it is to see Mac visibly healthier.
Fuck ticketmaster for not allowing me to be here because scalpers bought all the tickets within 10min of release, and then went to hundreds each ticket immediately
Was there the first night and I have to say I'm relieved the setlist was the same because I almost bought another night when I really can't afford it 😅🙂↕️ I will see him again, This Was Such A Dope Show
yeah...maybe he forgot the open D songs? as he said? but in the 2 era he played that on acoustic once and then they played one indoors show but they played it in standard - current band would play it without any problems
Alec is insane on piano but hes been around for a while. Check out Mac's video he just did in a french cafe. I was sceptical of the members at first but this video shows how talented they are!
