After years of marriage & developing from a young 21 yr old to becoming the 53 yr old man he is today,he's very aware of who he is and what he wants and need in life. He was talking about Fitz and Olivia can't get rid of each other I mean every season whenever he puts himself in a position where they can be fully together something happens and it tears them apart. 1st season the Amanda Tanner situation one conversation with Cyrus and Stephen and she manipulates to where he keeps his presidency, 2nd season Cyrus shows Fitz the tape of Fitz and Olivia and tells her about Fitz killing Verna,3rd season Fitz son dies, 4th season they get together at the end, 5th season she gets an abortion and moves out of white house, 6th season he moves to Vermont and she stays at the white house. Fortunately 7th season they do come together but we can only imagine their future unfortunately

you hear the interviewer says she is up to epi 6, this was the 1st season so yes its a little old but he was already inlove with her at this point and so was she. She is just slick with it. We are women, we know men can sometimes be just messy, they cant help it LOL! We as women have a way of containing our emotions to the world but knowing at the same time how to drive that man CRAZY! LOL That is what Ms Washington has done and is still doing. She is in love with that man..(smiles)

I feel it’s the level of chemistry between them. If you have listened to other interviews, he has been watching her in other movies. So, he has been wanting to work with her for a long time. This is a dream come true for him. No doubt in my mind if he was single, he would have married Kerry in real life.

We do not know that Tony would have married her not that Kerry would be welcome to such an idea. Friendship and chemistry as actors does not mean marriage. Jane Fonda and Robert Redford had very good chemistry on set, and acted in many movies together, but in real life it was another story. She had a crush on him and he not. He hated love scenes and kissing. Very distant. But it is a Job and at times one is faced with that - love scenes.
@@evieisblessed5339 - Marrying her is a strong statement.we do not know that. Having chemistry as actors does not necessarily mean loving someone to tge extent of marrying them. Also, we are not in their hearts to speculate like that.
Kerry & Taye had a couple moments of flirtatious behavior.. but I think Scandal was still new that Kerry & tony hadn’t really gotten their connection. I think they were both starting to look at each other differently around this time/get comfortable.
That is right. They have both attested that even though they had briefly met at the Congress (politics), it was the first time they were acting together. I recently (May 2023) also heard Tony telling Katie Lowes & Guillermo (Hack) on their Scandal podcast on RU-vid that, the first love scene where Kerry remains with a white bra and white panties, then saddles Tony Kerry was nervous & uncomfortable, he had to slowly talk to her on what they were going to do. Then the other love scenes that followed it was easier as they got to know each other better and build trust as actors. Listen to these podcasts, they analyze season one and two for now. Kerry also is invited in a separate podcast season two, she too speaks about the love scenes and chemistry. Also, about the fake media stories.
Well, I LOVE the relationship and I would love for Tony and Kerry to come together in real life. I feel that his wife is tired of this whole marriage lie and wants to be free to live her life and Tony wants to do the same. He loves that woman and she is in love with him too. Now when he marries her, TG to KW and shows the world that he has chosen her, many will say I knew it and many will hate on them. I think what you guys are reading into their body language is the cast trying not to give anything away so they chose their words carefully and look at each other for confirmation.
Kerry wouldn't have done the show if the President was black because of her support for President Barack Obama. The fact that he's white AND Republican makes it easier to keep perceptions of the show and her real life separate.

But I can clearly see, she was diggin' Taye by making comments like "she was in love with him" and was outing herself about the crush even making a jester that made Katie laugh and made Tony uncomfortable. Taye response to her flirting was "I wish I would have known back then" meaning he would have got with her. I am referencing this interview not others. It's obvious in other interviews she adores TG.

I so so agree with you! My kerry is just too thin. She is beautiful but way too thin. We women of color dont look well when we drop past a certain weight. Our faces began to sink in and we began to look sickly. Kerry is just to to thin now. Here she was nice, and I love her complexion here! I think she needs some rest and sun. No I watch media and have observe things. Well Kerry is married to a nice brotha with an authentic African name so I doubt Kerry is down with the swril in real life but hopefully you can live through the television show and use it as proof that the white man loves you. Also Mellie Grant loves her husband and is hurting due to his infidelity but that doesn't matter to some bw fans of the show since all they care about is, "That white man is in love with that beautiful black woman". The man literally gets to have his way with her in every episode and most likely smashed already behind the scenes but you'll are speculating about whether or not he has a "crush" her.
