If Israel had still occupied Gaza there never would have been an election there in 2006 and Hamas would never have formed the government. There were no Israelis there to fight. Which was why Hamas had to cross the border and invade Israel to find any Israelis to k*ll. And fighting a real “occupation” means fighting soldiers of the occupying army, never k*lling or kidnapping civilians, and of course never children. But of course you know this.
