How often do you clear out your closet?

Loving Claudette in this episode. She brought it all the way together with drinks! Her looks to the camera are everything!

What helped me stop buying unnecessary clothes, was that I stopped creating scenarios and envisioning possibilities for everything I saw in the store, now I simply buy what I will actually wear and not what I would wear in a dream situation that can’t really be recreated !

I heard one stylist saying this phrase: “Ask yourself - Am I gonna wear this and style it 10 times? If the answer is yes, then you should keep it, if no, then throw it away.” It actually really helped me. 🙌🏼✨ But I try to clear my closet 2 times in a year.

I'm low-key disappointed that you didn't actually try ON the outfits... Things don't look the same on, as they do on the hanger.

If you haven't worn it in a year, donate it or sale it. I've seen people do amazing work with resale clothes. I love the way Claudette said, "memories are in your head and not in your closet". I clean out my closet once a year.

I utilize the Konmari Method when cleaning out my closet. If it sparks joy, KEEP IT! If there is a questioning moment or hesitation… TOSS IT! You should only wear clothes that you totally love ❤️. If there is something that you don’t like about an article of clothing, you will most likely avoid it when searching for something to wear.

I clean out my closet every month. Crazy but it helps me keep track of what I actually wear and what I "think" I wear. Every time I clean it I always ask myself "If I saw this at the store, would I buy it?" If the answer is no, I throw it out/donate it! Go for sustainable fashion rather than fast fashion

Whenever I see you and your family, surrounded by all that love, it makes me smile. I would never know how that is since most of my family is deceased and I lost my mom 28 years ago. And my brother and sister recently. I honestly feel like love keeps people together and alive. That strong family unit is so needed!

Loved this! When I do my closet cleaning, I have to take into consideration my lifestyle. Like it's nice to have nice clothes buttttt in reality, I'm rarely going to nice places. The majority of the time with my kind of work (backstage theater work) or helping in the home garden, I need clothes that I know I'm not afraid to get dirty. On the other hand, I think about clothes I wear all the time as my essentials for every season whether causal or formal. And for budget friendly reasons, I ask myself is there a way I can transform this clothing item to give it new life rather than buying a new piece? Like dyeing it a different color for example.
