Yes absolutely. The only problem you may face is that the bass is not strong enough. This is certainly more common among younger people who naturally have higher treble sensitivity than older people. Try it out for a week or two and see how it goes, because it's still an above average listening experience.

So standard hifiman "low end", I'm surprised that the sound staging is so poor as that was one of the stronger points of hifiman. They've essentially made an overpriced, worse built HD599 it seems~ I'll definitely avoid them, makes sense why they go for so low on the used market

Pretty much sums it up.

I got mine with BT module for $200 (hifiman ebay). Now I like it more and more after I found USB-C adapter for it, and everything changed. Sensitivity is good enough to plug directly to smartphone, but sound is a bit muddy. BT module only supports 16bit (32bit on MTK platform)/48kHz with USB-C in, but BT is much louder and better audio quality. I really like Deva Pro versatility. You can plug on left side with TRS to TRS 3.5mm cable, or plug V-moda Boom Pro to add Boom Mic. About USB-C adapter, you just need CX31993 based USB-C adapter (65mW at 20 ohms) and sound is much better than from smartphone alone

I bought the diva pro’s in the last holiday season and I can totally agree with almost all of your statements. as a person who owns the HD 650S & the beyerdynamics 770 250 ome, I noticed very early that the lot of veil in the sound presentation, which I attributed to anti -fatigue. so in my opinion, even though that it’s much worse in technicalities, I can say that when I use it with the Bluetooth dongle, they definitely serves There purpose. it’s like listening to warm speakers from your other room. especially because they are wireless open back headphones so they don’t intend to be at the front of the experience of listening to music. they meant they are meant to sound veil, so you can listen and manage conversations in the an house or do something well, be aware of your surroundings. Looked a lot for headphones, who feels like speakers in the environment I mean, which I can listen to high Fidelity music.(kinda) with out resorting to low Bluetooth standards and artificial microphones while giving me like experience with the blending of the background environment noise with the music. So I wasn’t that disappointed when I realized this headphones has very poor technicalities. Too bad you’re not comfortable at all from my experience…

What do you think of the Sundaras, though? I've heard them compared to being somewhat like an he-500, just more comfortable and less subbass, and maybe a little less of other things but still strong for its price. I've heard he-500 owners are about as loyal as he-600 owners, do maybe they do have a special cohesiveness to them.

I've actually never heard a Sundara. From what I've read and heard from friends, they should be closer to the Deva driver tech and sound, but definitely don't take my word for it. HE-500 owners are just as loyal to their HE-500's as they are divided by ear pad choices. Some people swear by pleather/leather pads, but I think pleathers kill the HE-500 magic. Velours are the way to go. HE-500's are basically baby HE-6's, but they don't have the same treble magic as the HE-6, but have a better (more normal) stock frequency response. They're also quite aggressive and 'slammy' which can be just as exciting for music as it is fatiguing. My modified HE-500 was my go-to reference for a long time. It has been superceded by the RR1 and STAX Lambda (tone corrected). Still... even today there aren't many planars around that can beat a tone-corrected HE-6.

@@GREQReviews Pretty sure the Deva really isn't the Sundara, I've heard meh reviews for the Deva and the Sundara gets praise, but that might be a classic case of Frequency response graphs lying a bit. The Sundara measures surprisingly close (closer than the HD6x series) to the HE-1 besides bass, but obviously doesn't sound like one. I've decided to go let myself get hit by the electrostatic bug, and your RR1 review certainly didn't help. Knowing how they work, there's no dissuading their superiority in producing accurate audio, and might just need EQ to be at their best. It's all minimum phase anyways so if it's a clean response from the driver, you can make it sound however you want, and will have the same result as physical tuning apart from the time domain mess that you can get from doing closed backs etc without perfect damping. The RR1 look like the most idealized case, close to the ear, electrostats, nothing to reflect stuff back, and just enough damping material from the dust covers to smoothen the driver from being underdamped, reducing any remaining energy storage in the driver's mass. They have an impulse response settling time of like 500ns according to the maker.. definitely better than these Sundaras would be with their extra mass.

You do know that this model isn't for sale anymore? How long have you broken it in? After 100 hour it sounds way better. What you describe sounds like you tested fresh out 😉 f ghe box. Like the deva did this does need use to get ootimal as well. I have both, love them, but use them mostly with BT. Price performance I have found nothing better for BT use. Waiting for the next Deva, but nice timing 😂😂

Sorry, there are so many versions of the DT770, could you be more specific? (My version is Pro 80 ohm which is still 'modern')

@@GREQReviews The most distinctive change I know from the old models to the new one is the logo The old (in three versions 32, 80, 250) has this logo ))) The new one has a "y" instead of the ")))"
@GREQReviews
@GREQReviews 3 месяца назад
@@husamalden2897 No idea. I've never heard the new one with the 'Y' logo. But realistically the new version should only be a cosmetic update. The sound should be very similar, or the same, since they have an invested interest in maintaining a consistent level of quality in their studio line. If there were any big changes I think we would have noticed an uproar by now.
