the color is odd but man, the Deva is gorgeous, which kinda makes sense.

Well most higher end Hifimans have the full planar bass extension capability. Probably worth noting that in terms of this aspect, Sundara and 4XX are not very good examples of what the Hifiman stuff is capable of

Yo metal, do you happen to jam tech death, like Beyond Creation, Obscura, and Necrophagist? If so can I get your opinion on what headphones you prefer for that genre? Without going to far beyond say $300 USD

on a speaker amp direct to to the rear taps, the bass on the 4xx gives me a face massage

@@doublecrossedswine112 i was initially thinking of replacing it with a sundara and swapping my fiio k5 pro with ifi zen Dac... but they've been soo loyal to me it hurts to let them go (ps. After a horrible qc experience with he4xx, I'm socially distancing myself from Hifiman's product. I was hoping deva owners could give their feedback in the next year or so)

It' such a great headphone, and of that I am very sure about! The wired version of Deva has got it all that I want out of a headphone... It has got that excellent, crystal clear sound that I just love about it... Imaging on this thing is very good actually. You can definitely place the instruments in a song very clearly. The clarity that it offers for almost all genres of songs is excellent at least for me. It's definitely not for those dumb 'bassheads' who have not much to do with the quality of the sound... When watching movies with these headphones, I had a very nice experience with them.... Just as I wanted! Comfort wise they are very good and you won't feel tired wearing them... They just need a little bit of power to reach their full potential, otherwise they don't sound good. I paired them with hip dac 2 and that dac drives this thing pretty wonderfully. Overall I just love my Hifiman Deva and can easily recommend them to anyone. I know that there may be even better options out there in the market(which is the case with every headphone), but for me these serve my purpose really well.... And I am not the one that changes his headphones every month either! 🙂

I think the key features of the high quality bluetooth headphones are the codec performance and integrated decoding and amplifier.At least first we need Ldac or Aptx-HD to support flac.And the integrated functions save a lot of money for students like me who want to enjoy the high quality music but only have 1000-2000RMB on the investment of the sounding system.
