@@jaredczyeah, its the same thing that happened with dbd and tcsm. People said tcsm would take over the asymmetrical pvp scene, but it fell off hard after a month.

It is way more like smite than ow but the devs clearly wanted to use the palworld method and try to piggy back off a super successful game by making it similar, only palworld maybe didnt try to do it and rather just made a similar concept as pokemon but from the menus to the kill icons to even the map aesthetics, you can tell these devs knew what they were doing because this game gives me a weird twilight zone feeling where I feel like I'm playing overwatch inna alternate universe because everything is the same as ow except the pov and heros but since pov makes the game, I would say it's more like smite but if they made it 1st person than they could have literally merged their game with overwatch flawlessly, They're so alike
Let's be real. The average population of people who play or have played overwatch have severe mental disabilities. If you asked them to spot the actual gameplay differences between overwatch 1 and overwatch 2, they wouldn't be able to. Format changes completely fly over people's heads, and gamers don't actually think about why they do or don't like a game as much as they probably should. I mean overwatch people call paladins an overwatch clone when it has a whole item shop and builds, like an rpg game, you really expect them to spot the difference between spiderman and genji?
It's already happened to gigantic, lawbreakers, battleborn, and somewhat with paladins. Overwatch has such an intensely loyal fanbase that there was actually intense toxicity towards the devs of all of those games coming from the players of overwatch. Anyone who attempts this genre risks the accusation of plagiarism. Which is why I think it's so funny that OW devs have made numerous attempts to control toxicity in their game. They have no idea how deep that toxicity actually goes.
@@LadySniperSwaggYT Loyalty doesn't inspire death threats and harassment to the people making the game. Loyalty to brand goes hand in hand with loyalty to the people that make that brand. If "fans" are threatening devs then they're not fans, nor are they loyal.
If this game ever comes out on console I'll definitely give it a shot plus I can get my dad in on it sense he's been collecting hulk stuff for over a decade

Honest to god i think this game only has a chance to compete with overwatch if it comes out on console, I'm hopeful but it's a bit worrying there's still no confirmation

It's had a really weird art design (exactly like @ghastlyweather750 said) but maybe because asymmetrical game in mobile wasn't the best combination (especially if you compare dbd and dbd mobile) But because this is on PC (and consoles), the design graphic has proven to be great, it even could be called final if I'm being honest
If this game is actually good, we'll get to see how many people ACTUALLY like 5v5. 6v6ers will all move to marvel rivals. And 25 tank players will be left playing OW2 5v5.
I'm curious whether the team up abilities will create another avenue of social pressure for hero picking. Like you could get yelled at for not picking anyone that synergizes with the rest of the team.
6v6 is instantly making it look more appealing than OW. Sidnote: I kinda hate genji's design compared to spiderman or black panther. Genji has only one horizontal movement which is key to securing kills, so he has way lower uptime compared to sombra or tracer. While Spiderman and Black Panther can go in and get out pretty easy even if they dont get a kill but also can be easily killed while intiating. So I think Spiderman/Black Panther have actuall risk for award while genji only has risk for risk, unless you are a god genji but evem then someone like Necros regulary feeds.
Maybe that is because it's not designed exactly with overwatch players. In mind? This is really for the people who have played overwatch in the past but dropped it.
the problem with this game is your character IS the visual clutter....like its taking up sooo much space without even using abilities. difficult to see whats going on as a result.
IMO after playing Namor I really like him. The synergy gives him an extra squid CD but you can still only have 2 up at a time. The squid seems to do about 5 more damage per shot.
The tanks are all insanely strong but u need the team up. Strange 's Hulk move is beyond broken and is the only way to kill through a frost ult w out ur own ult.
people who played does rivals have a big need for teamwork like in overwatch? or is it more like tf2 or paladins where its not completely rely on (bogur probably answered but i probably didnt listened)
Idk why people are hating on this game like saying “this game is gonna die in a couple months”. Yeah, most games will have a fall out, but we don’t know what the game will look like at launch. I will say I won’t have too much hope, keeping my expectations low but at the same time, this game has potential man, I want them to prove me wrong
The teamup abilities is such a great idea and would have been my idea as well if I made a hero shooter. However, if you do it, you can't just add 6 combos and thats it. You are limiting your own player base. Either you go all in or don't do it..
It's alpha.. nothing stopping them from adding / changing them ! Probably testing how people react to them (trying to be toxic and force ppl on certain combos etc)
Good video game is fun with some (basically just Hela) bad balance but it's not super obnoxious. Presentation is 10/10 (but clarity and especially optimization needs work). I'd say that's fair. I like the game a lot, and I'll be playing it when I can, watching Necros play spiderman is peak content.
I think the clutter issue is caused by it being 3rd person. League has birds eye so you can always see what's going on and ow puts you in a pov were all used too because it's the pov we have irl so we as humans feel more in control even if it is still chaotic but 3rd person is like a weird inbetween to have a game like this be in where you dont feel in control of your character and you also dont have a perfect view of the battle field and it kinda just leaves you feeling overwhelmed alot of the time, like spiderman and batman games have alot of auto lock mechanics to help with this, where when you attack you bascially break space and time itself to latch to your enemies but I think people are gonna be getting lost in the chaos alot without the comfort of being 1st person. It's hard to explain but I definitely didnt like the game when the chaos broke out and I lived through goats and didnt find it that stressful 😂

@@skylerfreeman1173 Each perspective has pros and cons. The person who wrote the top comment complained that players would get lost because this game is not an FPS game. I asked him how he could play Spider Man without getting lost if this game were an FPS game.
If he uses his primary too much and doesn’t cast his aoe damage ability, he builds up too much dark magic and he receives the anti healing. So it’s important to get rid of the dark magic when he can
So u are saying that some characters have insane killing and healing capabilities, while others, especially tanks, do not.... and there is no role lock.... and how much sr u get is based on UR performance..... YEAH I DON'T SEE ANY POTENTIAL PROBLEMS WITH THAT.
I'm surprised you had such a bad experience with optimization. It might be the lag. I had the opposite experience. It's hard to believe this is just alpha. It was very optimized for me. I have a slightly better GPU than you and I get 120 fps on high settings. The only bad one is the portals. But that's about it. Game balance is also an issue. Hela is too good and Magik, Panther and Spider need help since they're only melee heroes.
@@startedtechI get 150+ fps in spawn. I meant high settings, 1440p, mid fight, alpha build. I'd say 120 fps is pretty good. You can't compare it to full release games yet.
The game is clearly designed to be a skin shop like valorant. But more importantly I think fun comes before balance, so if 6v6 is chaotic as hell, let it be so.
