I actually had tickets for Mariah for opening nights on Friday. But I decided to sell them and go out of town this weekend. I'm hoping to check her out soon. I don't think Gaga is back until July but I'll probably check it out this time around I've never seen it
I was there as well. I love both LA Guns and Cinderella. Here is an HONEST review. LA Guns came out swinging and pretty much blew Tom Keifer and his band off the stage. Tom couldn't capture the energy that LA Guns brought. They left the crowd amped and handed Tom a gift. Then Tom made everyone wait too long between sets and came out to a new song most people didn't know, then ripped some slow tempo songs and the place started to flatten out a bit. Tom also struggled with his vocals all night and the pain you were hearing is Tom's paralyzed vocal chords struggling to get back to what he could hit in his youth. Tom was also angry about the sound and kept yelling at the guys in the booth to turn up the guitar. The choruses of the songs were also pre-recorded on tracks. Although thats common these days. Tom was decent last night, he didn't disappoint, but I don't think he was as good as his opening act. LA Guns gave a rock n roll ass kicking and Phils voice was intact. I give LA guns a solid 9, and Tom Keifer Band a 6.9 to a 7. Cheers.
Love 80s “hair metal” but there were definitely a few bands that didn’t quite fit that label musically. Tesla, Ratt, Cinderella. Their music was more straight hard rock (Tesla), blues based rock (Cinderella) and almost heavy metal (Ratt). The lead voices were gritty, which didn’t fit the singers with higher registers who better fit the hair-glam genre.
