This is my introduction to Walt Disney World's moderate hotel resorts aimed mainly for people that have either never stayed at one of these resorts, or have little knowledge of what to expect and how to compare. After giving a breakdown of what to expect from a Moderate resort, I'll provide a brief tour of each resort to help decide which is the best for your vacation. This will cover Disney's Coronado Springs, the Cabins at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort, Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort, Disney's Port Orleans French Quarter and Disney's Port Orleans Resort Riverside.

The value resorts have the best kid friendly theming. I love them. I always wondered why the main resorts around Magic Kingdom were not whimsical and more kid oriented.

@@dionnem4533 depends what they’re into. Art of Animation has whimsical theming and is moderately priced. But teens might enjoy more adult orientated theming like contemporary resort.

We love the port Orleans Riverside resort. We can't wait to go back. Our favorite part is the alligator bayou. You do walk a lot but the theme of this resort is so relaxing I don't mind it at all. It's very hard to leave when your trip is over.

Total agreement here. The bayou is so relaxing after a day traveling or at the parks. The quiet pools are a treasure too. Food court is the best.

I’ve been enjoying watching these videos about the different resorts. We’re fairly Disney resort ignorant because we have never stayed on property and weren’t sure that we would ever have the opportunity to, but we’re actually scheduled to stay at Disney’s Riviera Resort soon (which I realize is a deluxe resort-which is the video where I started).

Nicely done. I really liked the music you chose for presenting each of the resorts; seems to fit their theming perfectly. We are excited to stay in Caribbean Beach in August. It might be worth mentioning in your video that currently both Port Orleans resorts are closed. I know you have the link, but since the year is featured in the title, and it has pandemic-era video, this feels like an omission.

One of the best videos I've seen on the topic. I spent 2017-2019 researching what to do for a 2-week trip to WDW in 2019. I wished I'd had your input in advance. Our conclusions were the same, it just would have saved me some time. I resort hopped for 7 days, deluxe and moderate only. I was fairly surprised to find I preferred Port Orleans Riverside over some of the deluxe.

I’d love to stay at Port Orleans but sadly it’s closed until further notice. Many of the other hotels have opening dates but Disney hasn’t said anything about these two.

Im on the fence about CBR. Ive only stayed at PO when it comes to moderate resorts. Im going in like 11 days and may switch to CBR. So far, my two favorite resorts out of the 8 ive stayed at are PO riverside and Animal Kingdom lodge.

It’s early theme park hours now instead of magic hours. Video still relevant I would say, but the on site perks have changed quite a bit.

I agree. Caribbean beach resort is nice and fun theme and pretty but it is soooooooooooo spread out. I stayed there for a few days back in September but sort of wished I had stayed elsewhere. if I wanted anything in the main building it was a super long walk all the way there. definitely worth paying extra for a closer room if you plan on spending more time at the resort. you have an internal shuttle system.

I’m guessing everyone checking into Disney’s Dixie Landings ‘moderate resort’ is British because the slaveholder aesthetic makes the hotel entirely unmarketable to American consumers. Like, they changed the name to “Port Orleans: Riverside,” but the veneration of plantation culture is just so, so flabbergastingly racist and tacky.
