This is what I commented before this episode was on aired : _I'm gonna guess this before the episode comes out._ _Back in will+Dress Season 3 Episode 1, after Gui's win, we saw the image, Earth was being covered by 'red' mist, in which Griphogila and all Masque units had._ _Maybe Sybilt somehow affected Gui since back then as we saw Shingi flashback in will+Dress Season 3 Episode 12, when Shingi died and Gui somehow had glowing red eyes which is the same as Destined One users. So that's why when Gui changed place with Jinki in Divinez Season 2 Episode 4, Sybilt can't harm him because he already affected Gui once._ And, if 10 years ago really had something, it highly increased chances of the _traitor_ being either Akina or Hikari...or their father lol
It’s possible Sybilt and Griphogila might be one and the same. That, or the former was born from a fragment of the latter and Sybilt plans to use the design force to become Gripho again on earth.

If last week was Willdress centric episode, this one was Overdress. Ie, the main story became the heart and soul, the cardfighting became the vehicle that drives it. That said the fight itself is still fun. Definitely the best animated one so far. It's just missing that oopmh ending. Yuna, Yuna, Yuna...you are a VERY FUN character lol. Yeah some of her fangirling seems a bit cringy and creepy but at least it's done in a funny, endearing and tasteful way *cough Sophie cough*. Plus girl actually have some depth to her. Again unlike a certain red hair..... And let's go Mi Tan actually come to her own as a character. As a Mikoto fan you gotta feel proud right? And also I don't know if y'all missed it but at the end Kuon says he remembers both Akina and Hikari. What's that about? Seriously it's always a mystery with this guy.
She's freaking hilarious! Yuna definitely made a better impression than I thought. And yes definitely proud, she's definitely proved herself today, both on and off the field. She's beautiful in both appearance and heart! Ah man yeah that's trippy dude, I got almost 0 clue what this implies though tbh. But I imagine it can't be good...
This episode was really, really well written. Extremely real too. Yuna being the character lost on their aims in life that idiolized another person so much, when she got angry about knowing how really mi-tan was. I loved it so much! Sadly, as the entire series so far, it suffers by its format of being 12 episodes, giving closure to the problems the characters have in 1 episode. Also, it's cool how krisrain (playing around the vg) and lisciafel (playing around soul) are similar to the decks both charas play; mi-tan with draogn empire and yuna to dark states
small detailed if im not wrong is at the end of nao vs her childhood exceeding fighter episode, nao seems to looks back at her old card and focusing one of the card and say "is this"....... while the video transition to nao bag with the card that attach on it. So i thought this was a little hint about what gonna happen in the future episode which are the card of syblit other part.

Personally my favorite episode of the season so far. That right mix of silly slice of life with serious themes and a drop of stakes with how Yuna's wish is presented. Lovely. Simply lovely. And I love how it concluded, with Mikoto using Seeya a card released ALL the way back in the Lyrical Trial deck back at the start of D, instead of a new card, which gets me way more hyped than what they did with Taizo. Also instead of having a revelation like the last two, they're letting it simmer as Gabwellius ponders what the possession may actually look like. Interestingly with Krysrains restand, Mikoto specifically mentions its the rear-guard chosen by Krysrain's ability. So outside of other card abilities Krysrain, looks to maintain itself as a three to four attack deck. Even more specifically its on the vanguards attack so you can't enable the restand on the Divine Skill turn with something like Annes. Also at 19:19 it doesn't appear to cost a counter blast, so probably Energy if it had another cost to it. And I love the Supreme Lisciafael here. A Divine Skill asking for a certain of cards in soul in Lyrical, I love. Its like I'm building up a stage for my vanguard to stand taller and over my opponent. Also because its asking for that many in soul, maybe the restander asks for a certain number of cards in it as well, probably locked to Lisciafael so Luticia doesn't jump in number of attacks. Also to perhaps to disincentivize recklessly using the soul you build fuel your costs if you want to get the Divine Skill off early. Honestly hope the Divine Skill isn't locked to your opponents grade but your rear-guard restand is. This episode also built up Kuon for me in two ways. 1. That regardless of Yuna's wish he'll support it regardless, which is both cute and concerning 2. He knows more than just Suo. He knows ALL of them. Are we gonna get a summer camp flashback where they were at the same forest along with Kuon, and went on a magical adventure to Cray where they met/had premonitions about their meetings with their fated ones. And Hikari nearly died from hers. How much does the Destined One of Infinity actually know? Also I interpret Yuna's reaction at 18:22 to mean Sybilt hasn't told the Destined Ones what exactly their opponent card's do.
Easily the funniest episode in DivineZ, and maybe top 5 in Vanguard history. Personally I love Yuna, all the other destined ones are either too serious or don't crack many jokes, but Yuna is the exact damn opposite of that and I hope she gets more interaction with Mikoto. Also Mikoto was great in this episode, its wonderful to see our girl grown from her previous fights. Speaking of fighting, I kinda have to agree with Navs here, fights have been a little quick and that ending while flashy was a little sudden. Gotta love the Annes sack, we've all felt that. Oh btw, finally finished making a new custom Arms card. I don't think Bavs need multi-attack, but I like getting creative with the timing of my unit's skills, such as Ardala. *Sealed Blaze Staff Kaladanda:* Right Deity Arms-”On a VG with 'Bavsargra' in it’s name” Play this with *cost* [discard 1 card from hand]! CONT [VG]: When armed during your turn, you gain effects based on the number of rgs with dressboost. *--*1: All front row units gain 10k. *--*2: CC1 & SC1. *--*3: Choose one RG and it gains +1 crit and you draw a card. AUTO [Drop]: At the end a battle that your VG attacked with 2 arms, you may arm this unit from drop by paying it's cost. Idk if that first skill should be a CONT or AUTO because it depends when you arm this card, during the battle phase or main phase and which text would be more consistenr for both phases

I wantd the skill to be a CONT because if this staff is used mid battle, and you swing rgs first to call Aparla over them, those Aparlas lose the Vairlord Boost if Vairlord is dressed behind Bavs. And I had to consider that some people might play this during your main phase to get that extra crit pressure. I've play tested Bavs a decent amount of times, and I've found that you can pretty consistently get 2 dressboost units out, maybe 3 depending on your searches, so I thought I'd design it based on that. I did also wanna include a skill that can search a grade 3 normal unit or order, since bavs can's always consistently persona ride, but I wanted to stay within 2 skills to not make it broken broken
This episode really show how powerful Sybilt mental pollution really is. There nothing wrong about having aspiration to be like someone. But casting aside who you are and trying to be someone else isn’t the right way to go about it. Mikito and Yuna basically wanted the same thing but choose different paths So it was sick to see her inspire Yuna to just be her self. Also they nailed the parasocial aspect and how much you idolize influencers or celebrities! Almost to a point of denial if there a flaw in your you love so much for some people 😂

It really is man, people are so willing to throw away their money and self respect and it's really sad. At least Yuna gets a somewhat happy way out by befriending her idol. It's simple but hey like Mr. Scales it's still a fun play pattern I'd imagine.

I’ve noticed that destined one divine skill can be split in to two categories based on divine skill First we have skills and divine skill that contrast and could hard counter the fated one skill and play style depending on timing. But the reverse is also true to for the fated one countering the destined one Levidras Alden and impauldio Than we have skill and divine skill than give the destined one similar play style and action to the fated one. But there are key differences that make the end result very different from each other Aelquilibra and liscafael My assumption is that Liael will be in the latter category so may her divine skill will be a timeleap. Which technically make sense Since liael amorta is the Desire is to get back what was lost to her and rezeal and redo the events for a different future W While liael odium could desire to change the past for a different and her eyes better future Aka time leap But if she in the first category maybe gear chronicle skill to blast unit to space time That’s My thought process

Lyrical units can swing for big numbers. Perhaps the most specific pieces I can think of is the OverTrigger and Henrietta. Using Henrietta’s skill for 1 SB, she gets more power equal to the shield value of the unit boosting her. So 10,000 (base Henrietta, 5,000 (OT), and 50,000 (OT’s shield value) makes it 65,000. And that’s before factoring other boosts and drive check for triggers.
Right! And going further, if this was on a deck with the G4 Kairi, with her effects, Penelopp’s front power boost, and revealing three triggers (sometimes triple crit), Henrietta can even swing for 110,000 power and possibly 4 critical!

This episode was good and funny. Yuna did carry the episode. Krysrain having support that can restand is pretty good not having relying on her DS to multi-attack (Bav players are gonna cause a riot lol). Lisciafael looks promising as well. As for the next episode I'm hoping that Nao wins so Akina losing his cardfight can help his character development including if he's possessed by Sybilt.
2:00 For one, it is true season 2 makes us feel the progression is bigger, but that is because there are several plot threads to follow. "So much" more elements to work with that also involve some of the season 1 characters. But also is a stark contrast to the main weakness of season 1 overall: Mikoto's writing. Even now, her idol plot is not explored and even her little interactions in season 1 amount to (90%) nothing here in season 2. Really, Mikoto could have just fought and nothing more in s1 and her lecture this episode would have been the same. It was so left aside that they focused on the "comeback-man" hint from s1 ep 4...but omitted everything else, including her supposed best online friend, which could have been an important narrative for giving Mikoto some agency in Hikari's road to recover. Hikari's line at the end was not remotely enough to made up for that. Man, even Akina's lousy school friend was more memorable for his actions in the alternate Hikari's flashback (going to visit his friend after a long absence and even accompanying Hikari to the place of the disaster). So far, up to ep 5, the new characters are either returning ones (for expansion) or a promise to be explored (Kuon). But The Destined Ones of Scales and Supremacy are heavily prone to join Mikoto's side of "lackluster handling" (specially Yuna) unless a new plot thread involves them.
One guy during the Live Chat called Lisciafel a worse Varga. I brought up the perma 18k and 2 crit. That's both Lryical at 50% and Dark States OTs on the Vg. 18k base means a simple effect Draw is OT to pass. Like I'm sorry that's not worse varga. Going for that ending bit at Cook million. Gudako, that's what Yuna's Chibi is and IYKYK. Vanguard G came out 10 years ago but how many years has it been in verse? Also is this G verse or V because those are 2 separate Timelines, and if it's G, wouldn't be the start of G since Cray was connected before G's start with Chrono as a Kid. So it has to be Gyze's defeat.

Like the only instance of definiteive time passing we got was from Will+Dress to DivineZ was a Year since it was Raika vs Taizo in the second Deluxe
@@SuperSayianWarrior I believe Overdress is it's own universe since we have no mention of any of the old characters, outside of like in OD Season 2 when Kai was on TV (you don't actually see him, but you could hear his voice) during a scene where Mirei was playing with Haruka, there hasn't been a single mention since then though so I can't accept it as credivrle evidence this is the same world. Weve been getting snippets every month about characters from G and where they are now, the most recent one was Misaki, and not much time has passed since the end of G for their timeline quite literally like only a few months, which leads me to believe that this world isn't the same
@_simplylink_ unlikely because in universe, the lore of the Goddless Age exists. The Great Sage of Stocheicha for which the nation is named after was presumably a Great Nature unit. What matters is whether Overdress follows after G or V Era because again. Two separate show endings that either prove Syblit's true nature or not. Assuming that OD follows G Era, it would've been 9 years from G to Overdress, because at least a Year goes from WD to DivineZ. That's a reasonable timeline for things to go for and would allow for Syblit to be a rememant of the Void which Gyze was a manifestation of. If OD follows V series then, again the ending of the Shinemon arc which was the end of V series shows Chrono meeting Shion and that's it. Nothing else really happens

As stated, I don't think Overdress is connected to either timelines, as I said we have been getting snippets of what G characters are up to now every month features a new character, and the latest one was Misaki where it stated that she was in her last year of University (which would make sense given her age at the end of G), and another one stated for Tokoha that she recently moved back to Paris to continue her studies and is now getting into gardening, this insinuated that it's only been a few months since the end of G and certainly not years so I don't think they're in the same universe. As for V, theres nothing in the anime that says these two worlds are even remotely connected
Hey I'm a bit late to comment because been gathering my thoughts on what to comment lol. Gonna break it down into points so I don't overwhelm myself xD but it's a big read so I apologize, and completely understand if whoever reads this skims it. First off, I ABSOLUTEY LOVE THIS EPISODE, this is the episode I've been waiting for since release and they did not disappoint (not even with the fight IMO, but obviously could've been better will get onto that below), this was well worth the wait and Yuna has now become my favorite DivineZ character (next to Megumi being my favorite character). - I actually can't believe barely anybody pointed out that Yuna could potentially be the Baro user we saw Mikoto fight against in her debut episode last season, it was very subtle and I love that detail they put in because we all thought that Yuna was someone completely new when actually her teaser just wasn't as obvious as the others which honestly good on the writers for bringing this. When Mikoto lost to Baro in the beginning of the ep, it immediately clicked to me that Yuna is THAT USER, it was a good surprise, and I think it deserves to be pointed out. (Also this technically means Yuna is 1-1 with Mikoto for this season xP) - Yuna's backstory herself, I relate to a lot (except for the obsessive fangirling but I do have my own idols and such), especially being at that age (since her and Mikoto are both 1st years), I was still having trouble finding what I wanted to do with my life just instead of having no idea, I had the opposite of having too many options and not knowing what my true passion is whilst at the same time trying to meet expectations of others especially from family to always excel and to have to deal with repercussions if I didn't score high enough. That feeling of admiration for someone you watch like an influencer when you were young and have a hard time finding happiness or passion in life is exactly portrayed well in Yuna's scene when she first finds Mikoto other than the blushing lol but I totally resonate with that line of "I wanna be just like her" because the people you admire you end up seeing as your heroes when you're younger and thus really made me love her even more. Oh and of course she's like this cast's Urara with all the funny lines and emojis, it reminded me so much of URara fangirling over Reno and Tenma from the Strawberry Prince crossover episode (with the Granfia debut). I'm glad she got a good ending of being able to be friends with Mikoto and on her way to finding herself. I actually don't find her 3rd person speaking to be annoying because she doesn't ONLY refer to herself in that way, she just uses it in pretty clever or funny scenarios IMO, it's not excessive. - The fight itself was pretty enjoyable though it was short and really heavily favored for Mikoto (She healed on turn 3 and basically negated the heavy early rush, and then the whole final turn gamble thing), despite all of that Yuna proved to be a pretty competent player seeing as those two compete at the top of the online ladder, she utilized the ability that her cards don't necessarily need to be held turn 3 and went all out at the start and got a good grove up until she had to hard guard Krysrain, but despite all that she still almost OTKd Mikoto which was really impressive to me and shows that Krysrain can be really fragile at times, if it wasn't for that double Annes play Mikoto would have lost basically indicating that she had no way out outside of gambling because even Wesmay wouldn't be enough to finish it. So I'd say the fight was good, it wasn't crazy but the animations were super funny to me and I loved watching it like I was fully paying attention and the banter and showing off more of Yuna's determination being polluted by Sybilt's control was good, this fight was strange in the way that there wasnt' a single defensive in either side and not a single critical trigger was checked either it was just strange honestly in that department. Very sad Yuna lost but it was so enjoyable like honestly I can't be mad even though she lost to gamble. Yeah that's my long ramble, TL:DR I loved it very much, Yuna is now my favorite character of the DIvineZ cast, Lisciafel did not disappoint I don't care if the Divine Skill is simple because that has been a common theme with all the Destined Ones so far anyways, and the fact that she embodies Supremacy by always being on top makes sense and yeah it's not flavorful but in VG unfortunately the simpler you are the more likely you are to be a more competent deck like Aelquilibra, so I didn't expect anything flashy nor did I really want it so I'd say I give this a 10/10, and I can't wait for its support to release in a few hours. I'm just a lil worried for the costs of this deck since most of the skills used CB looks like. Can't wait for next episode, now that Mikoto won I actually think Akina might lose now I support that theory now that Mikoto won but I wouldn't mind if Senka wins too since she was the character I was expecting to love and now it's time to see if that'll be true and if she can one-up Yuna for me as Yuna wasn't somebody I wasn't expecting to become my fav character in DivineZ lol. I love the title to "Fighting Spirit Exceeding Unparalleled" it's not as clever as "Supreme Love for the Ever-Changing You" but it's still cute and strong feeling, also Senka giving the peace sign was her declaring her divine skill giving 2 drives I feel.

It's because the episode really is just my fav so far and I relate to Yuna a lot, I ended up analyzing pretty much the entire ep (might even be overanalyzing) but that shows how much I really enjoyed it. I'm writing post the reveals and I already played some test games with the deck, I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT it was well worth the wait and this is definitely the Destined One for me!
Man, I already said it in the server but I feel the need to say it again. Sybilt cooked charcoal here. I don't know what she was thinking because that wish is a level of down bad I will never be able to comprehend. DivineZ writers have been cooking so far with the way the episodes are ending, I hope they keep it up until the end. Edit: I think I mentioned this in one of your community posts, but I hope Nao wins. My theory of Taizo, Nao, and Mikoto being the ones to win is 2/3 so far. Nao winning would give Akina hope that him winning would be all that's needed to release everyone from brainwashing. So either he loses to Hikari and we get the reveal that he's the possessed one since the losers are released, or we see him win and Sybilt enacts its plan. Either way, both outcomes are interesting to me.
@@godsman00 Edited my comment but yeah, I hope they can keep the momentum. Akina losing could also unexpectedly release Hikari since I don't think she'll be counting on him being manipulated as well.
So, I'll leave my serious comments here. Yuna is actually a lot more normal than you all thought by the time Gab had his on-screen suspicions on their way to the fight. When one is lost and unhappy with oneself, it's normal for one to wish to become someone else. For Yuna, her ultimate is Mikoto. For me, it was Link from "The Legend of Zelda" games. Imagining having that someone as a friend, including with a visual cue like the cardboard stand, and letting that side of oneself out in private is also normal. Keep in mind that Yuna held back a lot of her fangirling with her friends at school despite wanting to gush like mad. Yuna got a chance I never will, however. She got to meet Mikoto and actually become her friend. As far as Yuna's vanguard, though, I was slightly underwhelmed. She's not bad, but she's basically just a better Varga. I will say I expected a V Himiko kind of deal, too.
@@godsman00 I've seen some speculation that Yuna is on the spectrum. I think that's possible, and if so, this is a VERY well-written character. There's no ridicule, and we see all the stages of her hyperfixation building and resolving.
I just had an interesting idea what if in the next few episodes it breaks the formula by having Nao winning her fight but in the episode after that Akina loses his fight to Hikari. What if the Divine skill of the Dark States Liael is if the opponent heals a damage or gets a trigger unit during the damage check you deal yourself a damage so the opponent gets another damage check.
Nao most likely wins next week: 1) Her opponent is a distracted fighter obsessed with fighting her. Distracted fighters in this franchise don’t win. (Yuyu vs Zakusa(Yuyu was obsessed with defeating uniformers and saving Zakusa), Mikoto vs Taizo (She was too busy trying to find herself), Masanori vs Suo (Masanori keeps trying to get Suo’s attention and know his desires), today Yuni tries being like Mikoto and is obviously a hard core fan of hers) (Catch my drift here?) 2) Destined One winners so far that are mentally polluted would be essential or relevant to the follow up plot. Kuon and Hikari would definitely be more relevant than Senka (Nao’s opponent) 3) Hikari can most likely free herself from the mental pollution if her wish is to have Akira think for himself which if he does after their fight, Hikari wish gets granted either way, freeing her from the mental pollution since Sybilt controls the destined ones via their wish and amplifying their drive for it. Hence unnecessary for Akina to win. The deciding round after the 3-3 would happen anyway for more cards to be sold. Potential spoiler: Winners of this tournament was foreshadowed in the first episode where all fated ones gathered at the diner. Suo and Masanori who lost sits on one side, Taizo and Mikoto who won on the other. If this is right, Nao would win and Akina would lose.
@seantey1797 while interesting in theroy. Unlike with Yuyu and Gui, what is Akina's role if he loses to Hikari? Like fate of the world here, let's let the guy who fought and lost in one of the earlier fights fight again as a tie breaker, no. It makes sense for Akina to beat Hikari, it's been L-W-L-W so far. And they've revealed the effects of the Rideline for the Brandt Destinied and ironically it should be the Fated one of Protection more then Alden since it sets a Token Order that nets you 5k when you take damage, building up gauge if under 3, and at 4 ANY damage gives you +5k. Varga is an aggro deck that will fall into the trap that will cause Nao to lose given how seemingly perfectly she's countered
I think some of yugi muto’s monsters resembles Keter Sanctuary as well due to using spellcasters, warriors, and dragons, similar to how Aichi’s Royal Paladins have an extremely flexible kinds of units.
I think there's going to be a lore/filler episode before the tiebreaker match for the destined ones (mainly focused on kuon). Also if kuon meet all of them how come no one remembers him.
Great question, we might have a mind wipe or time manipulation plotline in the works which would definitely work given how the story has been progressing, personally leaning more on the latter idea there.
People only reasoning Akina winning because protag, as if VG protags don't get their faces beat in a lot lol. I'm leaning my guess towards Akina losing, because he is the main one with the most inner turmoil in the group. So, unless he can square that off mid-fight and find a clear answer for Hikari as to what he wants, he'll lose and he can afford to. And it'd be additional baggage he has to resolve if he ends up as the Fated one rep for the tiebreaker. Not to mention Hikari being the face of set 4, they'll probably want her to technically get a runback win against her bro, while also getting her and Liael a legit on-screen win on record in general to promote said set.

I’ve actually seen someone bring up that all the destined ones so far are pretty much referencing old decks. Also, I think nao is gonna lose next round
They're also (with the exception of Aelquilibra) pretty focused on Sword and Shield type tactics, with there being some sort of defensive aspect to their skills. And tbh these factors are both pretty cool, feels liek we're returning to some good spaces in the card design.
If the "Akina is the imposter" theory is correct Would be fun, if the rest of the series is just a gaunlet of everyone trying to throw themselves at Akina. Kinda weird that most Destined Clash fight is over, and we only on ep 5 Kinda want another episode similiar to Divinez 8, but for another char
