I agree with the passion and the general tone, although not all the specifics. 1. We do not know how many Gazans have died, because all that data comes from Hamas which is not a reliable source. We do know that the IDF has bent over backwards to minimize collateral damage, and is allowing in food which Hamas diverts. 2. Exactly HOW is Israel responsible for any Gazan suffering, either before or after Oct. 7? Israel divested from Gaza totally in 2005. They left an infrastructure for agriculture which was then destroyed. Millions in aid was diverted to tunnels and weapons, hidden in mosques and schools. Hamas is solely responsible for all this mess, but the weakness of the US, and our constant public hectoring of Israel make us complicit.

The news of Hersh’s death almost broke me; what a beautiful, gentle, heroic young man he was. If I’d’ ever had a son, I would have been blessed to be given a son like him. I wish I had the faith to believe firmly in a life beyond this one, but all I can do is wish and hope his spirit is still with his family, watching over them with love, and is at peace. And wish the same for all the other hostages who have been lost. Please, please Israel, do your absolute best to bring home the rest of them. Forget about “deals”; you can’t deal with demons. It's Extremely Sad about the hostages. Everybody keeps saying we want the hostages back. Yes we all do. HOW? Just stroll into Gaza and tell Hamas this is enough, can we have our hostages back. The last 6 hostages were executed because they were informed that the IDF were close buy. Don't keep saying we want the hostages back... Suggest how?
