Dude 265 is crazy skinny, I've raced a couple of 6.2l C63's and it's about the most amazing engine notes I've ever had the pleasure of hearing. And that includes the E60 M5. I was close to buying it when I bought my 435i, I was close to trade it in for a C63. Next time I'll trade my F82 M4 for a Biturbo V8 Mercedes. Amazing cars.
@@mattp98z81 What was the cost of this where you're from? And how did they do it? Did they have to take the heads off to replace them, or did your shop change them with the heads on?
Hi mate great video and a lovely looking machine. I have an E46 M3 and a MK7 Golf R, the R is my daily car. However, I was thinking about changing the M3 for one of these. Trying to get to experience the best petrol engines before I'm forced to plug my car in like my phone 😢 just wondering have you driven an E46 M3 and if so how do they compare? Like you I only drive the M3 at the weekend, I love the rasp of the N/A straight 6 it will be sad when these cars are no longer driven.
Hi Paul thanks for watching, looks like you’ve collected some right motor’s there mate. No I’ve never driven or been in one I wouldn’t mind ago though… closest I’ve had a go in is my brother’s 2008 135i twin turbo (few mods that take it to about 500bhp). From the research I did before deciding to buy my C63 though it was it was pretty neck and neck to be honest, I liked both cars. The M3 was better on a track and possibly quicker in general (I could be wrong) however I do believe the M3 was more money for similar age and back in my younger days I always remembered the amazing sound that the 6.2lt engine made from the C63 and was in awe so having the merc just made more sense to me, I do plan on taking the C63 on a track but more as a way to just enjoy the car not set any lap records. I’m quite happy just enjoying the cars comforts and sounds it makes in tunnels etc. But if I was you and you have the opportunity to get one then I don’t think you’d regret it just bare in mind that if it’s speed on a track your after then I’d probably stick with the M3 However if it’s comfort and to hear the sound of the big 6.2lt V8 engine petrol guzzler then trade your M3 in for one and have many smiles per gallon. Hopefully this helped mate, let us know how you get on will ya.
Hi mate, I only drive mine on weekends or mostly weekends unless I’m on holiday and I’ll use it more but currently I’d say about 2 tanks a month or maybe less. So I’d say no more than £150/£200 but that’s me having some fun doing some miles. These cars a very thirsty I’ve had my fair share of big engined cars (4.Lt Ford mustang, 3.0 Audi Quattro) and this smashes takes the top spot for fuel you can literally watch the fuel gauge go down even when driving like miss daisy. But like my brother says “it’s Smiles per gallon not miles”. My advice would be if you have the money and find a car that has full service history and a low amount of owners then get it bought you won’t regret it there amazing machines, all best mate
Motorway i manger to get about 30mpg sitting at about 70mph, around town between 13 and 15, if your heavy footed then expect around 8mpg- Smiles per gallon
