I love how the three cars have the exact same personalities as the trio.

Just realise, the 2000s is such a good motoring era. All cars got personalities, from the engine, looks, and feel. Now everything seems to become similar...

This was the last generation of these cars when they were actually different cars for different drivers. If you wanted the "ultimate driving machine" you got a manual M3 If you wanted the "german luxurious muscle car" you got the AMG If you wanted the "practical and fast all season car" you got the RS4 estate. Now they are all the same car with different badge....

looking back at these in 2023 is so crazy. this show was absolutely peak. just some bros that love cars and love to have fun. top gear will forever hold a place in my heart.

The C63 AMG is pretty much the german equivalent of a Muscle Car.

To think this e92 M3 design is over 15 years old, such a great timeless design next to its successors

These cars all aged very well. The E92 M3 is still known as a very well balanced handler. The W204 C63 is still known for it's very powerful engine. The B7 RS4 is still a Great sounding all season monster. As the generations come, the personality just got more diluted for the sake of speed. Hate to say this but Speed isn't always the answer.

I drove all 3 and bought the M3. I died inside a little when I traded in my '08 M3 last month. What a great car.

The M3 won by 5 seconds. That's an eternity in car racing.It also was the most composed in the turns. Plus it is the finest looking machinee of the three.

One thing i love about these ''old'' legendary cars is the timeless design. They are as pretty now as they were when they were new. It'll be interesting to see how new modern cars will age.

The last naturally aspirated M3! The E92 is one of my favorite BMWs!

Bmw M3 is best at the track,Mercedes C63 is good for drag race, and Audi RS4 for everyday use! Its simple!

Yes, the RS4 is the least fun of these three, but it’s the nicest item. I lust so much after its wide wheel arches and perfect stance.. It’s subtle but powerful, and thruth be told, it’s a lot more fun than you expect.

E92 series bmws were great cars. Even the smaller engine 320i variants were very well balanced.

As an E46 M3 owner, I surprisingly found out i prefer the Audi RS4 to the E9X M3. The gearbox is fantastic, the Quattro system makes it incredible year-round and the 4.2 V8 is every bit as characterful as the S65.

I would rather have any of these now in 2023 compared to the latest equivalent models

The facelift of the C63 is just an amazing car, last of its kind, the end of an era. Get one if you're a fan because they'll be too old/forbidden soon.

Top Gear is pretty much what got me seriously into cars (prior to that, it was Hot Wheels as a kid). It's quite interesting to watch this again 10 years later and see how my perspective has changed: initially, I thought the Audi was so boring and the BMW was stupid, so that left the Merc. Now, I would have trouble choosing between the three.

The BMW is such a beast. I have been lucky enough to have driven Audi's, AMG Mercs, and E30/36/46/9x M3's, and I can confidently say that the M cars are just different. Heck, they created the market that made it possible for these car to be produced. Chassis experience, ergonomics, engineering refinement, understated design on the interior and exterior. It really is the total package. The engine, smooth from idle to redline, feels more powerful & transcends what he numbers actually say.

I have owned performance Audis in the past and after I drove the last generation M3, I converted to the dark side; now I also own the new M3 and I can attest that it is very well balanced, fast and really an amazing drive. Audi needs to fix the issue with the engine hanging so far ahead. RS4 handling dynamics that are just safe and not entertaining enough won't cut it. The AMG is a great car, but not offering a manual; it needs to learn how to put down its power too...

I am back to one of the first Top Gear clips i ever watched. This is what writing a paper under quarantine does to you.

This was the episode that got me into cars, seeing Jeremy in that c63 and describing it as a nuclear bomb is what made me get mine.

The M3 is much better than the other two. It's four seconds faster around the track! As for sheer excitement, the Merc is awesome.

That C63 is my favorite Mercedes ever. Would take one over the new C63 any day. The M3 was a great machine but I never really liked it, the RS4 looks cool in my opinion, but never really stood a chance against his competitors.

Great video, I am a die hard BMW fan so far I have had 318i e-30 convertible, 320i (e-46), 325i (e-46)and a 330csi (e-46) still looking to get an M3 (e-90) Richard always makes me laugh :)

I recently just purchased a 2010 C63 DR520. My two previous cars were an 2011 Audi RS5 and a 2006 BMW M5 and although the M5 was more controllable while drifting and the RS5 more luxurious to drive the C63 is hands down the more fun car to drive. You can drive as an everyday car, put everyone in the back if needed, take the kids to school and then with two flicks of a button to sport mode and traction control off its the most powerful, grunty car the chuffs smoke of the back wheels like no tomorrow. Oh and that sound is unbeatable. Why do you buy and Audi or BMW that is is at least 450HP but yet you can even hear it.

I think BMW have gone backwards with the new M3. The old car was better looking and nicer sounding. The Audi....well its pretty much the same as it was, as with most Audis. The new C63 though....what a beauty!

If you have a c63 or an m3 chances are you will only be racing it on the streets... in a straight line. If so the merc will murk the m3. 6.2L in a car the size of a Honda Civic is insane
