The best moment, of the best TdF I've ever seen. A new generation of agressive riders, with 100% respect for each other. They will inspire a generation of riders for many years to come!
@@cbyod the difference is that Lance bought a hostile atmosphere to the peleton. These guys are different. Clearly enjoy riding their bikes and competing, but at the same time full respect to their competitors. Feels more aligned to todays values imo.🙂
If Yellow pushed white off the road then I could agree. He made the turn and the other guy didn’t. Yellow was smart enough to be in the position he was in and put white in a place he didn’t want to be. White failed the turn and lost the lead. I would NEVER want somebody to wait for me to catch up unless that was my teammate but if it isn’t, then that would be a slap in my face. He doesn’t need to slow down, I need to go faster.
@@mrslap1924 Good points, and I can agree in some ways. If it were during the final sprint then I wouldn't wait either. This is not in the final sprint, so being a sportsman here shows that sometimes you can be the bigger man. Most likely though, the outcome of this particular race is kind of irrelevant or relatively minor, and that is why he waited.
Vingegaard will forever be a legend for this moment! Not the titles, not the rides, but for the genuine compassion for both Pogacer and Wout Van Aert in last years TT!
What are you talking about Lance, Jan, ivan basso. These days will never compare to those days They had real break aways and low gear climbs, nobody had 34 in the rear it's embarrassing
True, I mean I lean towards pogo, but they're both so good and likeable...they're great for the sport, they're rivalry will help the sport grow for years to come.
Oh I'm sure they care... They just want to win clean not take the ... Oh they got lucky their competition fell... Tell me im wrong and someone wouldn't say that...
So much respect and sportsmanship. This is why these two riders are taking cycling to a new level. Every day they try to destroy the other guy and after many hours of battling - they give each other high praise for winning - but also “tomorrow I will be back fighting again”
Jonas are just like that. He is from a part of Denmark where they act like that. His soul is just generous and good. He is humble and nice. Thats why we love him in Denmark. Good good young man.
It’s unfortunate bc it seems they’re really trying hard to emulate the F1 series and create drama when there is none, and omit great moments like these
I am a bit sceptical, to be honest. Knowing the history, and seeing how fast they are going now, it is kinda hard to believe they are doing it without any cheating.
@@Meddimehell As a matter of fact I tend to agree on that statement but... That doesn't change the fact that it's an act of sportsmanship right? 😉🙄 Have a nice day m8
@@lasseholm7551 True. Waiting for your opponent there is an act of sportsmanship, but cheating definitely isnt. Hope you have a great day as well, my friend.
It’s impressive. If he had carried on he would have been justified, his rival made a mistake, it wasn’t like a puncture or something outwith his control. Good sportsmanship no question.
Greatest sportsmen of this year, might be one of the best gesture of respect I’ve ever seen in sports! Jonas Vingegaad and @TamauPogi 👊🏽 Congratulations on winning the epic stage in the Pyrenees, Jonas Vingegaad! 💛
