Meet Ravi, who was born in India, grew up in the US, and has been residing in Singapore for 22 years. He is a multimillionaire serial entrepreneur focused on sustainability. Ravi shared with me why he was emotional about renouncing his US passport, what challenges Singapore might face in the future, and whether Singapore can be the voice of Asia in the West. Enjoy!

This is one interview where the main character is very self-aware, and sounds like he knows what he want in life. His achievement is driven by his interest, the money is an outcome from that interest rather than the motivation of his interest.

This guy Ravi C is an evolved person. He believes in aligning his values and character with his work projects . He knows what he wants to contribute and he believes in helping the society first. And he is wise enough to know that the monies and profits will come later. Truly inspiring,!

I like this channel because it seeks out people who see beyond ethnicity, religion, ideology and nationality, who will help Singapore to be friends to all and to bridge differences between between nations and cultures. It's a message Singapore as a small multicultural nation could and must give to the world with the help of its Asean neighbours like Indonesia.

Ravi knew from day one, if someone can tell you when to work , what to wear & how to behave you will never be a happy person. It took me 18 years of my career life to realize that , then i venture out to do things my heart wants to do . I'm a contented person by nature , and i can truly say that now I'm financially free, emotionally free and free as a person .

Super interesting view points about Asia and sustainability, as well as finding your authentic self while navigating life by Ravi. I agree so much about the rules-based order that governs or politicises so many of the world's issues and laws. Even in social media, most of the views that are "seen and heard" are of the Western world. The algorithm favours that for some reason. As part of Asia, I do wish Singaporeans can speak more about important issues like this on the world stage. Aesthetically, Ravi's jacket with that hue of blue him suits him so well too!

Interesting to listen and learn from Ravi. I'm happy he's Singaporen. I'm certain he will contribe immensely to Singapore. I like to be friends with people who are not obsessed with only themselves. Life is about helping other people. Life is not about me, I and myself!

I feel quite sad that this interview is not garnering as much hits or views as it deserves. Ravi is an enlightened person who is aware of himself, his journey, and his surroundings, not to mention his astute understanding of the Geo-political world. I am certain he will be even wiser 5, 10, 15, 20 years from now. Singapore is lucky to have someone like him in its midst. Many Singaporeans would be wise to emulate him and display less hubris. Despite his largely general philosophical outlook, he is still grounded in hard reality when he discusses the origins of the current Western-centric rules-based world order. This is changing though. That this level of insights in this interview does not generate the attention it warrants is a poor reflection of the local audience. I have to add that some of Max's other interviews are more popular partly because of some "sensational" poles or tags about them. I find it ironical that even though many Singaporeans are proud of their identity and achievements, they seem obsessed with accents, especially American and English ones, often discounting their own people with their Singaporean accents, not to mention that that they subtly look down on people with Eastern European or other Asian accents. The colonial inferiority mentality still persists! Content-wise, this is one of the most enlightening and thoughtful amongst Max's interviewees hands down!

I liked this video you did with Mr.Ravi. for example, the way he sees the current world affairs, how he conduct his business, connections with types of friends, outlook on money, down to his own personality (appreciate yourself) is well said and i can agree to most of his perceptions. Thanks once again brother Max for airing another piece of qualitative vlog. Wish you abundance success.

I love your videos listening how foreigners find Singapore. I'm glad it's mostly positive. I always believe - it's great to Holiday in other countries but Singapore is always my home n I'm happy here mainly bec we have a great government, it's safe and very efficient country. However, I always hope n wish that Singaporeans will improve I the area of social graces and social responsibility which sadly is lacking in Singaporeans.

G7 sets the rules to maintains its dominance over the rest. Great quote, "Asia needs its voice." Singapore should go fiercely the 'Swiss' way! Be the bridge for all, not the pawn. Sadly, Ukraine and Taiwan miss the opportunity.

Interesting. The smaller suppliers will not have issues with Western sustainability compliance as long as they revert the cost incurred back to the West. Any demands can be met as long as the buyers pay the price.

We were in Singapore on New Year's Eve for the second time, and I have to tell you that it was a less pleasant experience than the year before. We got caught in a stampede of people trying to leave, and it became so dangerous that even mothers with little children were afraid of being crushed in the crowd. Besides the fact that the fireworks were very disappointing, the event was poorly organized with too narrow passageways, leading to dangerous situations, especially for small children. Another thing I noticed was that far more people were throwing rubbish on the floor, smoking everywhere, and being ruder than usual. Even at the Christmas display at Gardens by the Bay (which I enjoyed so much the year before), it was poorly organized, with rude people selling tickets and even ruder people checking the tickets. I don’t think there will be a third New Year’s Eve for us in Singapore. Sad.
