My first two years living in the Philippines, there was always this one guy who would lose his cool in the nasty, disorderly traffic here. Just this one guy going nuts, with everyone around him unaffected. It was me! Took me a couple year to learn how to drive like a Filipino. I kept vainly expecting everyone else to follow "the rules", before it dawned on me, that there were none. That said, moving full time to the Philippines, after 25 years in Los Angeles, was like dying and going to Heaven.
you can't compare Singapore to some big countries'.. because Singapore too small and low population can manage esaliye.. in India and China too large areas and too populations can't able manage them
As he describes how Americans feel they're the center of the universe and above other countries, I thought of the Chinese. I lived there for a decade. Same mentality--"the Middle Kingdom"--but more ignorant, having been closed off for so long and under the thumb of the CCP still. Max has a talent for finding self-hating Americans. I never see him actively elicit this kind of negativity from natives of other countries.
Way too negative about USA. Philippines has its own problems. It's like he's looking at the two countries wearing two different pairs of glasses. He criticizes the Americans in Dramaguete for being excessively negative and critical, but he is excessively critical of USA. I am in Philippines now, and it has a wonderful culture, but so does USA, even with all its warts, which I admit are substantial.
This guy summed up all the things had been said about western world vs ph on all YT vloggers channels. Good on ya and take care of yourself and your family. salamat po.
This guy is so genuine😁 Everything's spot on, even the superstition that's integrated in Philippine culture. He really embraced the culture deeply, immersed himself in the life here and completely understands it😊 more than some Filipinos do😄 More power to him, you and your channel. I enjoyed this one much with his insights about everything👍
How is that the worst side of Malaysia? It is not a right. When you are a visitor no matter how long it is not yr privilege. We hv to think & do what’s best for us Malaysians.
Your house, your rule. Ppl should learn this and respect other cultures. If you want to wear revealing short to showcase the world that you have an ass as well because this is the measure to estimate your value, stay home wherever it is.
This man is very knowledgeable about the Philippines. He even knows about the mythical creatures! He is also very observant and understanding of situations. A smart man! I wonder what is his work before he retired.
5:35 - He has no idea about "bayanihan" One of the most effective volunteer works in the world (Only appears in the most extreme cases or what's most convenient to work on - It comes and goes) The difference is the supply chain is NOT based on the Government, it's based on the People around the area/the situation (No dire situation, no bayahnihan) We are the no.1 world's most vulnerable from natural disasters, we experience a Nuke like damages every year (Mostly because of the Typhoons) but we always manage to come back after 2-3 months like nothing happened. Be gone for 1 year, you have no idea that the province/place has been rebuilt and had already experience 5 nuke like damage from a typhoon
Thank u for appreciating our culture...we always embraced the bayanihan culture all for one one for all every calamities we always help each other and we always respect the elders. .
Huge Respect to you Sir for understanding the culture and the way of life there in my Humble country! ❤❤❤❤❤❤ God/Jesus bless you and your family Sir! ❤❤❤
The place is SWARMING with WIDE EYED MEN! Women are being aborted that's why if your a Woman this Maniacs will be all over you. Better just find another country to visit.
If you're a retiree from the west, you come here in PHI you gonna feel that you're still in your prime even at older age as suppose to in the US you're detached from the community and lonely.
