We talk to world-renowned avant-garde artist Yayoi Kusama about her first stone sculpture “I Am a Pumpkin” and about “Tokyo Marunouchi” where it has been on display. What is the Marunouchi Street Gallery?
It is an outdoor art exhibition that was established in 1972 by the Mitsubishi Estate and The Hakone Open-Air Museum, with the goal of making art more accessible. In recent years, the art works have been replaced every two years (every three years in Ichigokan Square).
