I've just recently become interested in snakes (yeah, wait til you're 71) and really enjoy your videos. Your knowledgeable and straightforward approach is very welcome and I'm learning quite a lot from you. Thanks so much.
I’m 68 and fascinated by snakes. But like a lot of people, I’m not confident when handling them by myself. Back in the 90’s I bought a beautiful baby corn snake. Hoping I could overcome my anxiety I tried handling her. She never actually bit me but would give me a warning hiss. I kept her for 2 years but as she got bigger and bigger I got even less confident with her. I returned her to the breeder, knowing that she could be rehomed to someone who was more confident than me. Back then there was very little ready advice. If only there was a Snake discovery channel then. If I was a few years younger I would happily go out and buy a Western Hognose. I love your channel, you are such ambassadors for reptiles. 🇬🇧
Even tho this video is old, this was extremely helpful, as I’m getting a young male conda hognose snake for my b-day in August, I can’t wait, I’ve always loved snakes and always wanted one too
Emily, love this little tutorial on Hognoses and can't wait to see what clutches you get this year! I hope you might consider doing a tutorial about Brumation - what it is, what you do to get your snakes through it, and how it affects breeding.
